I really love this tool for my dog's fur. I have a German Shepherd Dog with a double coat. I have tried many rakes and combs for her fur. One furminator's teeth are too narrow and sharp not to cut and damage her fur. One rake had wire prongs that weren't really effective even though recommended by German Shepherd reviewers. This furminator has little hooked teeth to grab the tender undercoat and remove loose fur. It has two different widths of teeth so you can use one for the first brushing to remove MOST of the loose undercoat and the more narrow teeth for a finer brushing. But neither damage the gorgeous coat. It leaves her fur absolutely beautiful and I haven't noticed her scratching as much. I have also used the more narrow teeth on my cats and it does a pretty nice job on their fur as well although their fur is more fine. So, and all-round GREAT product for my pets. I am sold!

The way the Dematter gets into the hair/fur is amazingly easy. Crockett loves to have his hair groomed. There isn’t anything I don’t like about it. The price of the Demeter meets anyone’s budget and its performance is exactly what is needed. Thank you for such a great grooming tool.

This is a very effective tool for poodle owners. It strips the undergrowth to help prevent matting. My little Poodle/Bichon doesn’t really like it (she’s only 14 months) but it’s really necessary for good grooming and also to keep your groomer happy.

Works great and does its job. I have a long haired cat and this gets through his undercoat easily. However, fur flys and leaves pieces of undercoat fur on his topcoat fur. I wasn't prepared for how much fur actually gets brushed out with this tool. Even so, I do highly recommend.

works well for thick hair cats

This dematting comb is great. My toy poodle has been sick for about 6 weeks going back and forth to the vet a couple times a week, she didn't feel good and was in severe pain that I could not groom her. She had so many matts I felt like I needed to get them out before taking her to the groomer, she was matted that bad. I worked on her for about 20 to 30 minutes. I got all the matts out.

Overall good. Not as sharp to cut through matting as I was hoping. Other than that, it did great. It was great for my dogs undercoat. Overall, it did very little hair pulling.

This might work if there are a few tangles, but not for mats. My maltipoo has a lot of hair and my groomer retired. I thought I would try to do it until I found a new groomer. I thought it would cut through the mats, but it does not. It rips them out. It’s not sharp. There is no cutting with ease. Scissors worked better.

My little 13 year old 8 pound toy poodle has been professionally groomed every 3-6 weeks since his first bath. My little guy loves the snow. He rolls around in it. Getting to his groomer hasn't been possible. His hair is longer than normal and thicker (of course) and when it dries he's left with tiny little corkscrew curls deep under his surface coat. I brush him every day and was starting to worry because I couldn't get to the problem before it became a real problem. This tool is great. You have to clean the hair trap after every pass and it is small (the handle is super comfy) but the quality is sturdy and clean. Maybe this company will give us a variety of sizes, widths etc. Now if I can get my dog to sit/lay still long enough for me to really do some gentle work.... :~)

Versand ging sehr schnell und das Produkt sah auch so aus wie auf den Bildern. Funktioniert aber leider nicht so wie angegeben. Ich bleibe ständig im Fell meines Hundes (Pudelmix) hängen und bekomme gar kein Filz heraus.

We have two Bitchpoo puppies with very long soft fur. Their fur gets matted easily and although this tool is affective, even when I hold their fur tightly between their skin and my fingers, they still experience discomfort. They don't like being brushed now. I'm not sorry I purchased this tool because it does work.
