The dm’s winter grip 2976 Alyson with zips comprises of high-performance styles, with specially designed details to protect against the winter. Dr. Martens is the stuff of legends. It all began near Munich, Germany in 1945 when Dr. Klaus Maertens injured his foot in a skiing accident in the Bavarian Alps. To make walking easier during the healing process, he designed a shoe with an air-cushioned sole. Using old rubber tires, he constructed soles that had air trapped within closed compartments. He showed his prototype to his engineer/inventor friend, Dr. Herbert Funck, and together they decided to develop and produce the shoes. Not only did the shoe solve the doctor's immediate problem, but it also started to sell well in Germany. By 1959 the two decided that they needed a company to produce and distribute the shoes, then called Dr. Maertens, in other parts of the world. At first, many manufacturers rejected the concept of an air cushioned sole as a short-lived gimmick. However, the R. Griggs Group, located in the village of Wollaston in England, decided to go along with the idea by creating the first work boot with the revolutionary sole. On the first of April 1960, the first cherry red eight-eyelet work boot was produced and named 1460. To sell the brand name better in England, the name was anglicized to Dr. Martens. The range was branded AirWair and the rest is history.

Almost Perfect
Excellent traction and good leather. Only thing I would change is they're a little too tight around the ankle to easily slip on and off.

First time Dr Marten buyer - mostly happy but some issues
I've struggled with find the right winter/snow boot and I missed the whole Doc Marten craze back in the day so I saw these and figured I'd give them a shot. Most of the boots I get have one or two amazing things and are lacking in something - they never really hit all the high notes. These are not different.PROS:1) It doesn't have some super, next level sole. It looks pretty grippy and my understanding is their soles stand up to the test of time. So far, these have been just about as good as that serious gourmet boot bottom's from folks like Merrell. It's not fool proof but overall they've stood up to some skating rink like ice here in Anchorage, Alaska. It should do pretty well in most places with ice. #1 PRO2) Fit is really good and I didn't have to buy any odd sizing. I'm really a 10 1/2 but always buy 11 because I like to have some room in my boot. It's easy to get into with a dress sock or normal athletic sock but it's a little tight to get into with a winter sock.3) Ease of putting on isn't just step into them and lets rock. It's more of puts your toes in and grab the loop on the back and pull them on. It's usually easy to do balancing on one foot or sitting down. A little miffed I couldn't step into them but the fit is nice so it's still a pro.CON:1) The biggest con to these are the fact that they aren't really warm. I couldn't see an exact temperature rating but they aren't really doing much to keep you warm. Are they better then sneakers? Well, yeah. But calling these a snow boot isn't exactly the truth. With that being said, your feet aren't turning into popsicles but you are still feeling the cold if you aren't wearing a winter sock.Overall, if these last for the test of time that Dr. Marten's are supposedly famous for, these should be worth the money. These are made in Asia and not the UK - was expecting UK for the price but it's not a deal break per se. Other thoughts, they are fairly comfortable to walk on for a boot like this.

They will have to prise these off my warm, dead feet
Where I live becomes a sea of ice in January, and I'd noted that, of all my boots, my old Docs were the least slippery. Imagine my delight when I found they made LINED, SNOW/ICE DOCS. I took a gamble on this pair; the size I thought would be slightly too big for me were on sale. I was right- they are slightly too big for me- and therefore true to size, I think. I've worn them constantly since they arrived, once on a three hour hike through a snowy forest. I have yet to slip over while wearing them, they don't leak, they're toasty warm and comfortable, they're so much easier to get on and off than regular snow boots, and they look great. Would absolutely buy again, though I expect this pair, like all of my other Docs, should last me years.

欲しかった製品を購入することが、出来て良かった。
まだ試着段階ですが、はき心地は良かった、サイズが1cm単位なので少し大きかったが、満足しています。実は同種のブラックが欲しかったが、探してもなかったので、あきらめています。

Fantastic boots
These are great boots. By far one of the most comfortable pairs of boots I’ve ever owned. Good grip on ice and reasonably warm (perfect for an Ottawa winter). They’re not clunky and look more like you’re just wearing shoes.

Excellent boots!
These boots have been exceptional for walks around the Greater Toronto Area! Regardless of deep snow and extremely cold weather, my feet have been warm and toasty. The wintergrip soles definitely make a substantial difference when walking on icy/snowy surfaces.I found the boots to have fit larger than I had expected therefore it was creased a bit more than I would have liked. Overall, I think this was a great purchase! :)
