we looked at several, this one seemed to be a reasonable price, its now in situ and hopefully will work well if and when the need arises. quality appears good, arrived quickly and packed well.

Good quality fitting with metal flap and rubber seal. Used at the end of a run of new surface water drainage pipe to discharge water from our extension roof into a stream. Took a little bit of force to push on to the 110mm pipe but this was expected in order to form a good, tight seal. Flap operates smoothly so no worries about it not opening/backing up. Would buy again

I have a couple of these installed as part of my flood defences. They are good value, but with a serious flaw in that ordinary steel screws are used to hold various pieces together! These screws will corrode and split the plastic in a few years. I replaced all three screws with stainless ones of the same size and lengths (two sizes are required) and this should much extend the useful life. A pity that stainless screws were not used by the manufacturers - it would cost pennies to produce a more robust and long-lived product. Tiny stainless screws are used to hold the stainless faceplate flap to the plastic, but ordinary steel screws are used elsewhere.

Overall the item does what it says on the tine and for the price it is well built and robust. However, it really is hard to get onto the pipe. Heating and hitting got it in place but I am still not sure it is a well fitted as it should be.

Fitted this to my water drain pipe easily and it does the job. Let's the smallest amount of water escape. Thoroughly recommend it.
