Women's Vintage 1950s Classy Rockabilly Retro Floral Pattern Print Cocktail Evening Swing Party Dress

So got this for wifey for a themed night out as it kind of ticked all the boxes. These ‘vintage look dresses’ are not readily available on high street so took bit of a gamble with it whilst it was on sale.The material quality, print, stitching alongside zips/fastenings were surprisingly excellent. Ordered a ‘Large’ to fit size 12-14 (12.5 as other half likes to call it) and whilst fit perfect in most areas, needed to be taken in a little on side (just under the arm as sat a little loose, this apparently was not a big thing and she preferred doing this then taking game with a ‘Medium’). The waist sits high and has tie on back so fully adjustableFor a 50s look, you do also need a petticoat to puff it out. Without it, makes the dress look more casual and perfect for the warmer day so apparently coming on holiday with usAll in all pleased

Brought this to wear for my dad's 60th birthday party. After reading reviews I originally brought this dress in size xl, I am a size 14, with c cup bra size and I'm 5"6 in height and it was way too big, so I ordered a size large. Perfect fit. It sits below the knee and has a lovely tie round which sits perfectly. Looks great on and is very flattering. Deliver was very quick and on time.

Beautiful dress x I’m a size 12/14 and I ordered a large it’s a little big around the bust but the ribbon on the back helped to bring it in a little would probably order a medium next time but I do like my clothes a little loose xx would definitely recommend this dress looked beautiful on

Lovely dress. I didn't know if to get M or L ..I'm a 12 normally but seem a little bigger at mo..so took a chance on L. It is a bit too big and gaped under the armpit but nothing I couldn't fix with the sewing machine and now it fits beautifully and is the most comfortable dress I own. Cotton has stretch in it too so moves very easily. I'm smallish breasted with small hips but a larger waist so for me the larger size has worked best.

Didn't know what to expect from this dress. I ordered a medium as I am a size 10 and it fits really well. The material is excellent quality for the price though not cotton as advertised.

I am a UK size 16 and ordered this in a XX-L, but it is way too big. It has a tie waist, but there are gaps under the arms where it doesn't fit well and the back is very loose. An XL or even the next smaller size would have been plenty for a UK 16 (and I have big boobs as well). It doesn't really look like the photo, it is more pleated around the waist making the skirt quite full. The material is a silky polyester and the green/black one is white on the inside - OK for a casual or work dress but I wouldn't wear it to a wedding or dressing up function. Easy to wash and no iron needed.

Be careful to read the description as 3 or 4 of the dress designs are made out of polyester and the rest are cotton. I originally bought the black with red roses. This is cotton and well made. Then I bought the yellow-white to go with some shoes I have. This one is polyester, not a nice material and doesn't look like the same design or colour as the picture. It's very shiny material and the colour is a darker yellow. It's being returned. I would recommend the cotton dresses but not the polyester.

The dress is nice for the money you pay: material and quality of stitching. I'm returning it as I don't have enough hight for it, the top of the dress is too long and sits loosely on me (I am 164cm tall, probably, will be good on a girl who is at least 170cm high). That, probably, can be easily fixed at tailors but I don't have time for this now. I was planning to wear it for a themed party.
