This leash has been fantastic for lots of adventures during summer travels. Things I love about this leash:* the bungee cord gently stretches. I am recovering from a ruptured disc in my neck, so I need to avoid the JOLT that you get when your dog hits the end of a regular leash.* secure clasp that locks* great length: long enough to allow space for taking photos, keeps me from tripping over my dog when we're navigating steep, rocky hiking trails. Meets state park qualifications that dogs must be on leashes 6 feet or less.* the short loop at the base of the leash keeps my dog close when we're shopping in dog-friendly stores* the brown color blends in with the background while taking outdoor photos* good durability...we've used it daily for hiking and kayaking and it's holding up well despite lots of use in dirty, wet conditions.Three other Amazon purchases enhance the leash:1. camo martingale collar from Country Brook2. bag that holds poop bags, keys, credit card, cash etc (hooks on with velcro)3. hook for used poop bagsWe highly recommend this leash!

As others have said, this loses its elasticity really quickly. I use a no-pull harness on my 45 lb dog, and the elasticity was still gone after 2 months. That would make it a 1-star product. I'm giving it 2 stars because the carabiner clip and D-ring near the handle are just about the best I've ever seen on a dog leash. They're strong, work well, and have a nice gunmetal-like finish on them which doesn't flake or wear off like the paint or anodizing you usually find on these metal parts. The handle is so-so - comfortable, but could be thicker. The lower handle is not very good, but I don't use it that often and it serves its function at crosswalks.If they could make the elasticity last, this would be a 4.5 to 5 star product. Unfortunately, after a month or two of use there is no point having bought this leash over a regular cheaper, non-elastic leash. I bought this hoping for a cheaper alternative to the ROK elastic leashes (they have a design flaw in the stitching near the handle, which causes the rubber to tear there after about 15 months). But no such luck.

I just received this leash and couldn't wait to try it out. It's exactly what I needed for my large, active, German Shepherd Dog puppy.He is leash trained but lunges occasionally when we're training and he's amped up. The bungee does a fantastic job of absorbing the shock of him hitting the end of the leash. This is an invaluable safety feature for both dog and handler.The traffic handle is comfortable to hold and allows the handler to make leash corrections independent of the bungee.I would not recommend this for a dog who is not yet trained to walk nicely on leash, as you want to have greater control over tension and slack in the leash than you'll have with a bungee.I was immediately impressed with the quality of the carabiner and the leash itself. I'll update once I've put it through its paces but for this price, it would have to have a very major flaw I haven't noticed yet to not be worth a try. I expect to be ordering several more because I like it so much, not because it won't hold up to rigorous use.

So far so good. This leash is made with quality materials and looks really good without breaking the bank. The bungee keeps your dog from jerking the leash and keeps your shoulder inside it’s socket. I used the retractable leashes before this one and my dog used to always venture out and walk every which way. Not to mention when they jerk the leash and it comes out of your hand slamming everywhere. Since using this one she stays close and walks at my pace, whenever she smells the occasional cat, the bungee works it magic and keeps her in place. The handle is really soft and well cushined to boot. My dog is about 70lbs if that helps for reference in regard to stopping power. The only issue I would say so far is that I ordered a green and got a brown instead. Why idk. I’ll survive but I hope think they get the orders right before shipping. I’ll post an update if anything changes 🤘🏼

Great leash...I bought it even though most people say the elastic wears out...I don't really want a leash with the elastic, and I will be happy when it stretches out...you need a single line solid strap for training. What I liked was the quality of the leash and the handle feature that is closer to the collar, below the elastic! ...A neighbor got one of these and I liked it so much I got one for my puppy for his obedience training. The clasp is heavy duty and high quality with the feature of locking so it can't come off the leash, although I have never had that problem.

Great leash! I am used to the non bungee ones where my new German Shepherd rescue likes to pull on our walks, and jerk me around some. This springs back and is sooo much nicer. I also like the lower training handle on it for working on our ''heel'' command. He is so much easier to control now keeping him closer to me. It's also reflective, which helps on a night walk. It has a locking mechanism on the clasp, and I don't have to worry about it becoming unattached, and him getting loose.

This leash just doesn't work for us. It is a bit short, (we had to get an extension), and the elastic is in the wrong place. I prefer the elastic to be in the hand loop so that it is easy to control the curious mutt by grasping the non elastic part of the leash right below the hand loop. The control section is way too low unless your dog is a great Dane. Also the elastic and plastic grip makes the leash heavy in the middle. Maybe it doesn't bother the pooch much, but I don't like it. I will be looking for a different leash.

This leash has saved my shoulder more than once. We have a Coonhound who forgets his manners when excited and the bungee action is perfect for his outbursts. Also like that I can heel him up easily with the low grip. Best part is the clip. He has demolished so many leashes by busting the clip, but he's met his match with this one!
