The city over bleached/chlorinated our water due to pipe repair one morning .... the rag on the left is from the bathroom faucet, bleach the BLACK WASHCLOTH omg! So i tested the shower which has the sparkpod, the washcloth on the right looks the how it originally went into the show minus being wet. I tested the other washcloth too under the sparkpod shower and less dye ran...this actually help me confirm that the water from the city line was over chlorinated . Sparkpod filtered the over chlorination . I dont write reviews much on Amazon but in a world where clean water is what we are all hoping for, I needed to say something about this product and how it worked. Ive had it for several months but i finally have proof to show just how much it works. Be sure to change the filter though, it can become sluggish if you dont.

We have a commercial water softener/filter - shower water still feels hard and contributes to dry skin. Wanted to try out a shower head filter to see how that might help. On well water, so no chlorine to filter. Well packaged in a foam-lined box containing filter, a couple of spare sediment screens, a roll of teflon tape and a wrench. Installation is pretty simple presuming your shower head unscrews readily. This is a great opportunity to either clean your existing shower head (vinegar works well) or to just replace it. You may need to be creative in positioning the filter - I had to mount it at a 90 degree angle to clear the shower wall and allow room to open the filter to change element. Sealed great with included teflon tape - no leaks and most important, no loss of water pressure. Too soon to tell if skin will feel less dry. Dinged one star for cost of replacement cartridges and for the fact that the filter body has really no good way to grip it to open to change the cartridge. May need to use a strap-type oil filter wrench. A better design would have had more pronounced grooving or grip tabs. I found it hard to open out of the box, can only imagine 3 months from now. *note* I have a second unit - this one is weeping slightly from the seam where the two halves of the cartridge seal - tightening cartridge halves has not stopped the slight drip.

*Update* After posting my review SparkPod reached out to me and offered me a full refund which I accepted so at least they went out of their way to make it right. Original review below. Had it installed less than 3 weeks and it has 3 pin hole leaks already spraying water out of it! What a waste of money!

Very happy with purchase

The actual filter is good but they sent me a completely disgusting and deteriorating filter, clearly been used for many months.

Love how easy this product was to install and could immediately tell the difference in the type of water that was omitting from my shower. Would totally recommend.

First of all, the filter works very well. After using it for the first time, I was amazed how soft my hair felt. However, there are some downsides. The images show the filter with the same kind of pipe coming out of the wall and then going down in an angle, and it looks like there is plenty of room for the filter to fit hanging down. Well, that is not the case. The filter only fits a bit tilted or sideways, which destroys the optic in my book. Next, the material is plastic and I can't get the upper connection to not leak. I am using plumbers tape and a washer, and I tightened it pretty good, but it is still leaking. Not sure why. I may have to redo my entire installation, which is not just the filter and the shower head. I am using a diverter after the filter and then a rain shower head and a hand-held shower head. With the plastic material of the filter I am concerned about having too much weight on it. The other thing I like though is that the filters inside are replaceable.

Lo puse en dia jueves, para el dia domingo ya no salia agua de mi regadera, al comienzo pensaba que ni tenia agua en mi casa y cuando quite el filtro, el agua salio normal como siempre, no es la presión del agua ya que cuento con una bomba presurizadora para los servicios de mi departamento solamente, bastante cara y mala, no la recomiendo
