Then press and hold the “PUSH” button at the side of the device, and keep the unit still until calibration is complete (1-2 seconds). When calibration is complete, the unit will sound a short beep and the display bars will be cleared. Step 3: While still holding on the “PUSH” button, move the stud finder on the desired surface to scan and detect for studs, metal beams, pipes, AC wire etc. Step 4 : When the device detected an object, it will beep continually and a peck shape will also display on the LCD screen. Note: If insert the battery, the metal stud finder can not work. First, check if your battery run out ,if not ,it maybe the product has not been completely discharged .Please install the battery in reverse direction for 3 seconds, and repeat this twice, then correct the installation.

Hit and Miss
Works to a fashion. Have to run it over the same area numerous times as somtimes it indicates no stud whatsoever whilst other times it indicates stud everywhere. Only way to get anywhere is to keep testing and take a guess using averages, even then I ended up with a couple of extra holes as it had identified stud where there was nothing. Probably best to order some filler and touch up at the same time.

Helpful little gadget
Works well, does what it says it does, it can be a little sensitive, the solution is to not be in a hurry take your time with it!

Took this to my local gym, scanned plenty but didn’t find any studs, got a black eye for my trouble though.
