I was around when the first cubes came out. They were large (I think), noisy and hard to turn, they kind of stuck when you were moving them. This cube is the first I've picked up in years and years. It was a little shocking to feel how fluid this is. It almost feels like it moves by itself.There are, apparently, all sorts of adjustments you can make on the interior of the cube to affect how it slides, I'm not sure I'd ever use them, but all the tools you need are in the box, as well as a display box and several ways to display the cube.The magnets on the edges give it a kind of soft detent feel when you're in the full position, it's hard to describe. Overall, it's a very quality focused refinement of what these cubes have evolved to over time, and this one is very much suited to those that solve the cube in speed runs.

I currently main the UV version of this cube that costs much more. Wanted to see what the base model feels like - and it feels great! Performance is outstanding. Cube is a little dry out of the box but magnet strength and tensions are perfect (tensions are easily adjusted). Overall, a really nice cube!
