The Best of Mainstream and New Ideas
I almost never write a review, and only when I feel strongly about something. This book is terrific. The authors do an outstanding job of merging well-proven mainstream medical techniques with new ideas, and present them in a way we can all understand. The writing style is readable while remaining true to the scientific bases behind each concept, with Case Reports to make it interesting. The book includes steps you can start with today at home, with recommendations and options up to cutting-edge therapies. iIf you want to delve deeper, the text includes frequent and well-organized references to other materials. While its principal theme is wound healing, many of the techniques speak to overall good health and long life. If you are a diabetic, or have a family member who is, or who are at risk of becoming a diabetic (the majority of us I think) this book can help. Virtually every adult living a Western lifestyle would benefit from reading this, and making some adjustments.A friend of mine is a diabetic, and about a year and a half ago had one of his legs amputated. He was weary from fighting the wounds, and fighting the docs who were advocating for amputation, so he ultimately gave in. He is in his 40's, and he traded one set of battles for decades of new ones. It sure seems like he would have been better served by a concerted program to heal those wounds, and that is what this book is about.I liked the fact that the book is written and edited to get to the point, rather than droning on. As a result, the font and spacing are legible rather than being micro font we sometimes see, which I think is compensation for lack of editing discipline. The authors appear to be thinking about the reader/patient, rather than about their egos. I appreciated this with every page turn.Overall a great read. Highly recommended.

Best Resource On Wound Care!!
Just finished reading this book and it couldn’t have come at a better time for me. I have been on a major health journey over the past several years trying to cure my diabetes through diet (LCHF), exercise (Resistance), and weight loss (Fasting and Intermediate Fasting) . But, the negative effect of diabetes have taken their toll on my body. As a result I need to be extra careful of my feet to keep from getting foot ulcers. Not many people are willing to do the hard work to take back their health, but this book gives us the knowledge to do just that.. Drs Rob & Julie Hamilton have done an excellent job at laying out the options that are available to the lay person desiring the best treatments for their injuries.I am so thankful for this timely book and know it will be a valued resource for future reference.I encourage you to buy this book, you won’t be sorry!!!
