Does not work with old Mac running any OS less than 11 (i.e., Catalina 10.15.7 or below)
Does not work with old Macs, even with Acronis. WD support helped me try an old, out of warranty WD Passport that stopped working, and proved that there is no way to make this work. Don't even try. Their support team is terrific!

Easiest and most efficient way to move between operating systems
I purchased this external hard drive to move files from a PC to a Mac. It is plug-and-play ready without the need to download drivers or apps. Everything worked perfectly and I’m very happy with the result. I highly recommend this drive whether you have a PC or a Mac.

WD My Passport still going strong after 17 years
WD 2TB My Passport portable hard drive. It's great, easy to use and runs without issue. It's been 17 years since I switched to WD and the products have never failed to work flawlessly. I still use my first WD My passport bought 17 years ago; in fact, it was my first purchase on Amazon.

An older model with an adapter
Very good, but dated hard drive for my Time Machine backups. Either it wasn't clear or I didn't catch this, but it comes with a USB-A cable, with a USB-C adapter over it. It works, but isn't what I thought I was getting. Still, I'm using it and backups are going well.

Not USB-C; adaptor doesn't support power
Advertised as a USB-C drive. Came with a USB-A cable and a USB-A to USB-C adaptor that doesn't support power, so the drive can't power itself. Useless.

Worked as expected
Easily connected and simple to use. Only downside is the everpresent slow nature of the transfer, but that’s an issue of the data being transferred and not the drive.

Funciono perfecto para guardar archivos de una windows 10 pc y usarlos en mi mac. El disco fue reconocido sin problemas por los dos sistemas, y la transferencia de datos bastante rápida comparadas con un USB normal.

Is not SATA DONT BUY IT
It’s useless doesn’t last, after a week of work and over 300Gb of videos it start making sounds, and it doesn’t work anymore is not for travel and is not SATA, it’s a lost of money and a non recoverable work

Works for PC AND Mac easily
I am so excited to have found an external hard drive that works for both PC and Mac interchangeably. My work computer is a PC and I have a Mac laptop so it is helpful to be able to use my files on both devices with this hard drive. I had thousands of files and it had enough space for them all.

Great unit would definitely buy again
Amazing product so far. Great storage Study little unit Can fit into your pocket or bag size is purfect for 2tb. Light weight. Couldn’t ask for more. And it was pretty fast taking all my pics of my iPad Pro. Freed up so much space.
