"2238" - Master of Illusion
This Deco-Nouveau rendition of the basic Maestro theme features a proportionate and generously uncluttered interface. There are low-relief architectural influences in the symmetric and concentric circle base design, including the micrometer frieze of the outermost circle which appears in alternating cubes of white and silver. The third circular band, which is the numerical band, has a semi-reflective lenticular etching, at perhaps 80 lines per inch, and the visual effect produces a white-to-dark silver gradient appearance dependent on how much the watch face is tilted and also on the hues of the ambient lighting. The fourth and central circular figure is a spectacular double-sinusoid low-relief Nouveau sunburst with an undulating ultrafine radiation from the watch center. The large central disc also changes appearance from from paper-white to cloud-silver, but inverse in luminosity to the numerical band. The result is the third band recedes to a dark silver as the central sunburst design comes to the forefront in bright white. Meanwhile, the blade-shaped hour and minute hands change in hue from a metallic midnight blue to an iridescent royal or sky blue. The effect of these visual interplays is mesmerising. The Roman numbers are also finely tapered as they proceed towards the watch center in an evident Deco graphic presentation. Finally, the fifth circle is placed eccentrically in a half-radial proportion to the central disc, and works as a functional planetary epicycle to the minute and hour hands; it does not obscure the numerical band as the moonphase or skeleton variants do. This version of the Maestro, "2238", unlike most of the other Maestro variants, incorporates the RW4250 caliber, which has 31 jewels, rather than 28; it is the same automatic mechanism used in some of the Freelancer designs. The technical timekeeping capability of the watch is modern and there is only a 1 to 2 second drift every few days. The deployment-type band clasp is present in this more recent version. In summary, the watch is accurate, easy to put on, and a triumph in cohesive design and personal ornamentation.

beautiful watch but with some peculiarities
it is a slim beautiful watch . I love it . it is very light and keeps good time there is one issue which I want to highlight . its battery reserve is not as much as published . I discovered that overnight storage should be face flat otherwise the watch stops .. and takes a lot of prodding to get started
