Re-ignited my passion… for reading!
Picked up this book before a trip to Iceland that was much too action-packed for reading. Finally picked it up the other day as a way to spend less time on my phone and I could barely it put it down until it was done! As a Mélanie (albeit a Canadian one), I got a kick out of twinning with the protagonist, and my hubby (who happens to have another 4-letter E name!) really appreciated the spicy mood this put me in….Will definitely check out more books by Amy Lea and in the romantic comedy genre at large after this one!

Girly Girl Mel meets Grumpy Fishermen. More spice than fishing 🎣
💭 THOUGHTS: 💭 I have to admit that I read this simply because fishing was pictured on the cover. I still loved it! I only took the half star away because I personally wanted more fishing (only 5% 🎣) 😂 ✨✨It was so sweet when he taught her how to cast! ✨✨The comedy in this one was top tier but I did have to fast forward through a LOT of spice! If you do closed door romance this is not for you! The FMC was relatable and lovable (even if she was scared of bugs) She has a hard time/wont let people love her because of the fear they will leave her (and doesn’t realize it almost until it’s too late) Without spoilers, this is def a HEA! 🎣This is book three of a series but absolutely can be read as a standalone.🐟 enemies to lovers🪱 fake dating🐟 grumpy sunshine🪱 Nova Scotia locales🐠family drama🪱trauma healing🐟touch her and die (kind of)🐠NSFW (more spice than fishing)🪱found familyTWs:-death of a parent-alcohol misuse-foul langua

Catchy... but the previous two instalments were more enjoyable
I can't say I didn't like the book. It reads very quickly and it's a very relaxing reading. But the other two novels by the same author were more entertaining, involving, I felt "inside" the story, something which didn't happen this time. I thought Evan's family subplot was a bit exaggerated - not because fights do not occur in families, but those characters' personalities were not really well-described. The final scene where ALL the family goes to Boston to meet the girl.. it was too much and absolutely not plausible.

4.5⭐️ book!
I really enjoyed this book, as I have with the others in this series, and I enjoy Amy Lea’s writing and character development. Evan and Mel are the perfect grumpy/sunshine combination and the side characters really added to the story, namely Evan’s family who he is really close with.I also enjoyed the story arc and how everything came together at the end of the story. And the epilogue, I almost cried at it.

Worst book I've ever read
Totally predictable plot, with phony /folksy family maritime dramas thrown in, fails to describe the beauty of the country adequately, sex is artificial. This book was just bad.
