Wanted a small lightweight kettle for use in my cabin on Brittany ferries when I'm travelling to Spain, the tea and coffee on the boat is utterly utterly vile, from a machine, even in the so called restaurants, the coffee especially is unbelievably horrible, tasteless watery crap. I make my coffee in my cabin in a spill proof insulated travel mug so I can go up and drink it in the lounge. Tried a couple of little 0.5l kettles, some with higher wattage, however they all were really not satisfactory, many having short fixed leads or problematic lids etc. This kettle looks quite well made, plastic outer, stainless steel inner. Boils around 350ml of cold water in around 2.5 to 3mins, a full kettle of 500ml of cold water takes around 4 mins, which is fine for my use, its compact, it has a detachable base, and a nice touch is the cable, which is about 22” or 56cm long, winds into the base, really neat. The lid is of the ”flip open” type, very easy. The kettle switches off automatically when the water has boiled. One caveat, don't get too enthusiastic when pouring out the hot water, use common sense, if you go too mad water will escape from the lid but you really need to be going for it for that to happen. Cannot vouch for longevity, time will tell…if you want a compact lightweight kettle, low wattage that does not take an age to boil, this could be it. EDIT/30/08/25 Used this kettle maybe half a dozen times no, things to note, lid does not "latch" so if your too enthusiastic pouring water out the lid can flip oen and boiling water everywhere, neither does the lid seal, so again boiling water can spray out of the sides of the lid if your too enthusiastic, lastly, it now does not switch off when boiling...so whilst initially I thought it was ok, it's just the same cheap Chinese crap that most stuff is these days, and I'll look again.

Great little kettle. All metal inside. NO PLASTIC. 2 cups. The best is the on/off switch is on the top of the handle. No accidental switch on a empty kettle 👍

Boils a full capacity kettle in around 3 minutes. Switches off automatically. There is a blue on lamp and the inside and spout are made of stainless steel therefore no plastic taste in the boiled water. The lead winds into the base of the kettle. Good comfortable handle and the lid latches closed.

The kettle itself is good. Feels quite well built and boils water quite fast… the only thing I can slightly fault is that the lid is a tiny bit loose-fitting so you have to be careful when pouring boiled water out…BUT the main issue is that the 600 watt model is not 600 watt despite it having a sticker it is. It’s actually 740 watts as measured on two different power meters, so if you’re using with battery / inverter in a motorhome etc. then beware. It frequently trips out my inverter if other things are running as it pulls more current than it should.

Small convenient for my mum to have upstairs for those late night cups of tea

This is perfect for making on mug of coffee/tea. Just boils enough water, light enough to lift for my neighbour who had a stroke. In my opinion better than the more expensive water tank type, and in her opinion safer than the tilting kettle

Sehr schönes Gerät, fühlt sich wertig an. Nahtlose, saubere Edelstahl-"Innereien" Wasser kocht nach einer durchaus annehmbaren Zeit - man ist ja in Urlaub :-) Saubere Aufrollfunktion des Kabels - deshalb so kurze Zuleitung, alles ok. Schön wäre eine Tasche gewesen - es ist ja ein "Reise"wasserkocher. Kann ich durchaus empfehlen. Vielen Dank.
