Cools Well
My laptop: MSI Raider GE78 HX 13V, 4070 GPU and i7-13700HX CPU. COOLING On idle with no cooler (e.g, only my browser open and 1-2 lite programs), my laptop runs at around 40C (GPU and CORE temps) and around 55-60C (CPU package temps). On idle with the IETS GT600 running at 2600RPM, these temps drop to around 20-25C (GPU and CORE temps), and around 35-40C (for the CPU package). That represents around a 40-45% decrease in temps. It's hard to test games because ultimately it will vary greatly depending on the game. Running the benchmark on Total War Attila (on max settings, admittedly it is an old game) WITHOUT the cooler running, my temps rose to around 65C (GPU, CORE temps), 70C (CPU package) Running the same benchmark with the IETS GT600 running at 2600RPM, these temps dropped to around 40-45C (GPU, CORE temps), around 50C (CPU package). Roughly a 35% drop in temps. Temp info from HWiNFO. This isn't, admittedly, some rigorous scientific test. But I think it shows, for me anyway, that the cooler is extremely effective in reducing temps. NOISE The cooler is loud, no getting around that. I find it fairly reasonable up-to around 1400RPM without headphones. It's noisy enough still, though, that in a room with other people I'd probably reduce this to 1200RPM/1000RPM (which is very quiet). If this sounds like you, then you're better off buying the lower-end model that maxes out at 1600RPM. However, in an empty room and good noise cancelling headphones, I don't find it disturbing to have it up-to 2600RPM (with my headphones on, I can't actually hear it much at all if I've got something playing on my headphones). GENERAL The cooler comes with what I assume to be an American 2-pin plug. It fits into my US-to-UK plug adapter and works fine. The cooler comes with a booklet that briefly introduces the cooler and what all the buttons do, as well as a debrief over maintenance (it recommends you clean/replace the dust filter after some time). There's an additional foam that you can add atop the cooler, presumably for small laptops.

Iets Gt600 v2 Vs Gt500
I brought this to upgrade from the GT500. As it’s claimed it takes a larger laptop for future laptop upgrades and larger fan it keep things cooler and more quietly. The foam is exactly the same, The bases are the same sizes so I don’t know why it say it can take a 19” laptop. Now, the fan is different. After testing I can confirm the Gt600 is a bit louder than the Gt500 at full speed. I have a 16” MSI vector with intel 12980hx cpu , 4080 gpu, 64gb ram and 2 ssd m.2 These coolers fit perfectly for this laptop, I would recommend flip your laptop over so you can see vents and position to foam over as a trial fit so you know roughly where to sit laptop on the cooler. Tested coolers on the same game at max setting in 4K Both coolers performed very well. Temps are not much different between the two coolers. I would say the same. So my take on this is, if your going to buy one and you want to spend least as possible, go for the Gt500 v2. If you want the latest Gt600 v2 and don’t mind spending extra cash Go for the 600 both are good cooler and both the same imo.

I always wanted one of these but didn't know if it would fit well with my setup due to the height. I took a chance and use this on my laptop daily. I have an over the chair desk and I use a wrist rest for comfort so the height is no problem. This cooler instantly cools off your system. You can watch the temps drop in your monitoring app when you turn it on. The lowest fan setting is 400 and I keep it on that about 90% of the time and kick it up to 600 sometimes. I've never had to use it on a higher fan speed. It is really quiet at 400 and 600. At the highest setting of 2000 it is pretty damn loud but I can't imagine a scenario where you would need that much fan.

Wish to have slimmer type but to maintain same efficiency in future

It came a little late but that's alright. It works as advertised. I noticed a significant decrease in GPU and CPU temps (10-20°C) when playing newer games at high/max settings. Excellent quality.

I have a msi vector gp68 gaming laptop with a Nvidia rtx 4080 and i9 processor and I love playing new games on epic settings and playing most of those games my laptop was running between 75°c-83°c even with the cooler boost 5 enabled. I owned two other brands of coolers and they didn't make much of a difference in Temps but this cooling pad is amazing and lowered my Temps by 20°c atleast. it is very loud but I game with a headset and my friends on discord can't hear it and neither can I so I love what it does for my laptop. recommend!!!
