Great for indoor gnats and mosquitoes
LED Bug Zapper Indoor Outdoor, 10 Years Lifespan, 6.5ft Power Cord, IPX4 Waterproof, High-Voltage, Mosquito Zapper, Fruit Fly Mosquito Moth Gnat Trap Killer Zapper -MO008C:I have a larger one I use outdoors in the summer, it works well. I had a problem with gnats and occasional mosquitoes in the house. Looked into alternatives like glue paper and attractant/sliding, etc. This one stood out because it is easy to clean, no extra cost in maintenance, I like the light, and the price is pretty good. I don’t think you can change the blub, just buy new. Says 10 years (seasonal) on bulb (30k hours = 1,250 days or 3.42 years if you leave on 24/7).Works well, maybe 95% killed? It required several weeks but it took care of my gnat problem. Easy to clean, unscrew the bottom and dump in trash then wash out. Only had small bugs while in the house and so far, non stuck on the top part – would use the brush to clear out those. One negative is that now and then you do hear a big zap when it gets one, can make you jump. It is also bright at night if that bothers you. I just keep it near my kitchen and all the fruit.

Quiet, low power draw, inexpensive, LEDs mean that I shouldn't have to change the bulbs often
I've purchased a lot of bug zappers over the years. I wanted a unit for use inside the house since summer is coming up. I know that I didn't need it too bright since it would be indoors, and also appreciated that it used LED bulbs since I've had to replace a lot of the CFL/fluorescent bulbs in other units. I've been using it for about a month now and it works great. It's not nearly as loud as most zappers that I've used. Works best in a dark area. Also, there is no power switch, so I recommend buying an AC adapter with its own switch. To me, it's worth it. These are the best bug zappers I ever remember using and own two now. Will update if anything happens to them.

Powerful and Truly Waterproof Bug Zapper - Kills Everything That Flies (and Makes Noise Doing It!)
I've been using the Buzbug LED Bug Zapper for a little while now, and I'm seriously impressed (and a little surprised) by how effective it is. This thing doesn't discriminate! It zaps mosquitoes and flies like a champ, but it also seems to take out any other flying critters that get too close. So, if you're dealing with a wide range of flying insects, this will definitely do the trick. Be warned though, you will definitely hear it working – the zaps can be quite loud! The setup was super easy – just plug it in and you're good to go. I can also confirm that the IPX4 waterproof rating is accurate. I accidentally left it out during a downpour, and it continued to work perfectly afterwards without any issues whatsoever. The build quality seems solid, and while I can't vouch for the full 10-year lifespan claim just yet, it feels like it will hold up well.My only other minor gripe is that the 6.5ft power cord is a little on the shorter side. Depending on where you want to place it, you might need an extension cord. However, if your main goal is to eliminate flying insects, the Buzbug is a powerful and weather-resistant tool.Pros:Extremely effective at zapping a wide variety of flying insectsEasy to set up and useAppears to be well-built and durableTruly waterproof (IPX4 tested in a downpour!)Cons:Can be quite loud when it zaps a bugPower cord could be a bit longerMay kill beneficial insects as wellOverall, if you need serious flying insect control and aren't bothered by the noise, the Buzbug gets the job done, rain or shine! Just keep in mind it doesn't seem to be selective about its targets.

works better than the other bulb types
this is the first LED version of these bug zapper that I've used, I previously have/had two of the bulb based ones just like this around my house, they are great but only last about 12 to 18 months before they stop working (not the bulb, its the entire unit fails). i've been through three or four of the bulb based ones. so I decided to try one of these LED based, and my only concern was whether it would attract bugs, within about two hours of swapping this one in for one of the other ones that failed, I heard two strong bugs zaps! so that's very promising. (just based on the sound of the zap I could hear that it seems like this unit is a stronger zap, which is good!)Will update if this unit fails, but I do think it'll be a lot more reliable than the others that are non-LED based as I know for a fact, those fail after about 12 months. you can tell this one's a little better thought out also, for example, they all have the exact same form factor, however, this one when you remove the bottom part to dump out the dead bugs, this one has a magnet that helps guide, twisting it back on, which is a great improvement.

As good as it gets
We have mosquitos that hang around our front door and patio door, just flying near the glass, poised and ready to fly in when we open those doors to get a package, let the dog out, etc. It became a hassle to try and quickly-as-possible open and shut the door to minimize the # of intruders.I figured, "Why live like this?" and sprung for two of these guys.Things I love:1) Uses LEDs for lighting to reduce power consumption and extend light lifetime2) Waterproof enough that it can stand up to rain3) Reasonably long power cord4) Comes with cleaning brush5) Lightweight6) Safety cage so our dog doesn't sniff it and get zapped7) Easily removable bottom to clean out dead bugsIt's neither attractive nor unattractive, but functional and aesthetically appropriate. While the casing is light plastic and will likely not weather great if exposed to sun, it's again appropriate given its likely lifetime. If this lasts more than 3 years, I'd consider it well done. The lights and electrical portions seem high quality, and that's where the business takes place, so money was spent in the right places. This is our first day using it, and the light attracts more bugs at night than during the day, so we'll see if we're mostly bug-free tomorrow after these things do their work all night. But I think it's a great little device, and very affordable for what you get. Well done!
