Fun Strategy Game
This is not the first game I have purchased from SimplyFun, and it won't be my last. I played this with my 8 and 5-year-old. My 5-year-old enjoyed the game, but my 8-year-old didn't (this is because he got the least amount of points). I thought it was a fun game, though it did take many times of having to re-explain instructions to both kids. It is geared for 7+, so I'm sure older kids would get it faster. The strategy part of the game was probably the hardest to explain to my kids, especially choosing the event cards when either event would have the same benefit for them but could affect their opponents' scores more. The quality of the pieces is great and should hold up with many plays. I like that they make video tutorials on their website on how to play the game, so if you are in a hurry you can watch that instead of having to read through the entire instructions included in the game box. This is a great educational game as well and could be easily incorporated into homeschooling plans or to supplement what they are learning in their traditional classroom.

Kid Approved!
Product arrived in a timely manner - got this for my neighbor girls (ages 4 & 7) as a Christmas gift. The 7 year old was able to play with her friends, her age and cousins during the holiday. The 4 year old was somewhat interested in the game, but not following the rules - maybe in a couple of years. The mom said that her 7 year old still plays the game with her friends after school / weekends. I would recommend this game as a gift.

Fun game but needs some improvement
This is an easy to play and entertaining game with the kids. The instructions aren't always very clear, especially since they ask you reference a video online. There's no game board to hold the square animal / plant tiles in place, so they can get knocked around and disorganized while playing.Overall idea is great and again, play is easy to pick up on even for the little ones. Scoring during an event phase needs clarification for sure, however.

Cool, but very complex
This game is unique, beautiful and well-made. The pieces and boards are sturdy and high-quality - some are printed on thick paperboard, and some are wood. All of the animal cards are printed clearly with animal names and the pictures are accurate for the species. We tried playing this with our son, who is about to be 6.5 (the recommended age is 7+) and there are so many steps and details to learn, it felt a bit overwhelming, even for my husband and myself (an engineer, and a master's degree-holder 😅). We didn't end up using the events or pollinators for our first game because we decided to get the hang of it the animal cards and flowers first. I think with a few more attempts, we'll get a better feeling for it and be able to incorporate the other pieces and steps. This game requires attention to detail, and planning and forethought. Once you sift through all the instructions and details, it's really cool, there's just a lot of nuances and facts involved along the way. We're looking forward to playing it more!

Love this game, as we have loved every SimplyFun game we tried!
The game board and game pieces are well made, and the parts are glossy which minimized messiness if someone has food. The game play is engaging and lively, and it only took us about 3 turns to get the hang of the game. We played our first time in about 45 minutes, so that was a nice length of time before people got bored or grumpy. The second time we played was only about 30 minutes. The kids loved learning about the animal facts, and like setting up the game board over and over. Great game, everyone in the family loves it!

Super fun and pretty easy!
This is a fantastic family game! The first time we played, the kids requested that we immediately play again! Very impressed, and will definitely seek out other SimplyFun games!PROS- parts are very well made, very sturdy- bonus- parts are a glossy finish, which makes them easy to wipe clean when the kids spill food on them... which we may have already tested...- game is easy to get the hang of, took us maybe 3-5 turns to really get in the groove and remember the nuances- love that there's an educational aspect that you can add in (a bonus for homeschoolers!) Our first time playing, we didn't do the extra reading about each animal, but my kids still learned a few new things just by normal play of the game!- can be played in 30-40 minutes, so a great game for anytime, including weeknights or squeezed in in between errands!CONS- not much really... it took us all quite a few turns before we could remember that the background color of the piece did NOT correspond to the animal pictured on that piece, but rather corresponded to the piece next to it. Once we finally remembered that, it was smooth sailing, and loads of fun!- I wish they had included the breakdown of the animal card features BEFORE the Play of Game, in the instructions. I spent WAY too long trying to figure out why there were a bunch of different icons and colors, only to turn the page and find all the answers right there, lol.

Fun educational game
My 5 year old was able to play without much help, so it was very easy to understand. My 4 year old knew what to do but neither of them really understood the strategy part of the game. They did love it though and it is a fairly quick game to play. It was really good quality in my opinion but it could be a little bit more fun for what you pay for it. However I am happy with the purchase, and my kids really enjoyed playing. The quality of the pieces is very nice, Coming from a family of board game lovers, it is nice to have one that looks like the quality is so good and they young ones can play. That being said I only gave it 4 stars because of the $40 price point. A lot of adult games that the names are familiar are around the $50 so for a game I had never heard of that is geared towards kids/family I felt it was a bit much, but we will still enjoy playing it. It is a fun and educational game.
