One of my Dutch Favorite Licorices
Grew up in the Netherlands and we love all different kinds of licorice and this one is a winner. It is so delicious. It is the combo from sweet and salty. It has a sugar coating on the outside and inside has the gooey soft salmiak. Delicious. If you like somewhat salty licorice you will love this one!

Great intro to salted licorice
I've grown obsessed with salted licorice. There's something slightly off putting at first, but it grows on you and I've found myself craving it after a while. So far I've tried the Finnish Salmiakki ruutu, the super salmiakki, and another kind all from faser, as well as the nordic sweets ones from Denmark which are very similar to these toms heksehyl zout. First off the salted flavour is very mild. Almost more of a salted caramel with the filling, compared to the Finnish kind I was having. It still has that tangy ammonium chloride sensation, but the sweetness and licorice flavour are all very balanced. I would get these if you want to try salted licorice and ease into it. They are closer to black licorice than to the quite strange salmiakki, but I do reccomend getting a bag of the salmiakki mix to try it out. I think they sell these toms heksehyl zout in smaller bags, so I would get those to try them out, but I like the big bag for the value since I kind of knew what I was getting. Again, almost exactly the same as the Nordic sweets salted licorice, but way better value. I wish they could come out with a big bag of the Finnish salmiakki, since they are kind of expensive. The next I want to try are the double salt Dutchs, or Gustafs, since I'm kind of craving that really tangy, kind of uncomfortable salted licorice like the Finnish salmiakki, but those are bit more affordable. Either way these are great if you want to try salted licorice, but not stray too far into the madness, but I highly recomend making your way there at some point. Cheers

Delightful
I have bought a bag of this licorice every few months for awhile, now, and I'm always impressed. Soft, excellent licorice flavor. I love the balance between Salty and Sweet. The typical American palate may not like this very much, but I certainly recommend this to diehard black licorice fans!

Good, not salty enough for me
I tried some extremely salty Icelandic black licorice and it looked a lot like these chewy sticks. It turns out the Icelandic version is much saltier, so this one doesn’t scratch that itch for me. This is hardly salty to me, less salty than the doublezout coins. There’s a sweetness to this that I don’t enjoy, but it’s a good product.

Good quality, but not enough salmiak for my taste.
It's a high quality product. Personally, I like a lot more of the salmiak punch. So sure, it's enjoyable, just not quite what I was looking for.

NIGHT AND DAY
if reading this you obviously are a fan of Norse salty licorice. A lot of people out there are not. Hae been ordering from another vendor, product took along time in transit and experation date had a sticker over it extending the date. This vendor had it at my doorstep in one day. What truely shocked me was the difference in freshness. The others were on the hard side, these are very soft. Mind you, the "stale" one are just fine. My point is that if you prefer them soft, get from these guys.
