Hercules MS631B EZ Grip Tripod Microphone Stand with Boom & Mic Clip

These are excellent. Extremely solid - time will tell if it stands up to repetitive use but it certainly looks like it will.The grab and lift mechanism is rather good and extremely easy to use with one hand - which is great for a guitarist (which, one day, I hope to be..). The angle adjuster for the boom slipped a bit when I first got it but I took it to bits, roughed up the surfaces slightly and now it is fine. At first, I also didn't much like the butterfly mic clip as it seemed a bit clunky and large - however, I have warmed to it as it seems to be extremely sturdy - it holds my Line 6 wireless mic perfectly and is quick and easy to adjust. I thought about swapping the mic clip for a "proper" wireless mic clip but keeping the bit that clips onto the boom (which is perfectly possible) but once I had used it a couple of times, I simply didn't bother.Overall, I highly rate this stand. Solid, easy to setup and adjust and certainly seems to be a well thought out and high quality item.

I already own one of these stands and i thaught it was so good that because i need another one for recording my drummer; this is the only option for me. Strong durable stand with easy to use features and flexability. Would recomend this stand - and any other hercules stand to anyone, even pro's on tour, cus this stand could really stand up too a beatin ! Trust me, u may have to pay a bit more than the other cheaper stands but the reason being is that quality is obvious here.

Hercules make great sturdy, reliable and durable stands and this one is no exception. It's very well balanced, easy to set up and stays in place one the angle and height are set. Certainly worth the additional cost over many cheap and flimsy stands out there, and I can foresee this one lasting many years.

Like all Hercules stands, these are very solidly constructed and well designed. Very happy with both the product and the supplier.

Hercules have damaged a good boom stand with poor engineering of the Ez grip system. In order to accommodate the Ez grip one handed system that raises the height of the main straight stand the whole boom arrangement is on a clip fixing and this joins the boom to the main stand. This wobbles and becomes looser the more you use the stand . Turns out the whole boom element is clipped to a small length of tubing about one and a half inches long that is fixed to the Ez grip handle - its not part of the main straight tube forming the main stand. This bends and flexes itself loose so the boom shakes and is unstable . Great shame / a good straight stand with a weak and wobbly boom attached - too expensive given this fault - buy a cheaper old fashioned boom it'll last longer and look more professional on stage - Dave Hawkes

Solid, substantial, easy to use and even looks reasonably funky. Guitar stands and other Hercules gear also recommended. Would certainly buy again.

I bought one of these and was shocked how flimsy it was.On the third occasion of use the mechanism that makes the sound fell out and was lost in reeds. Surely it is not too difficult to make something in the UK that is more substantial than a toy from a christmas cracker? Buy one of these from France where they have some practical ability.
