I’ve cooked with Calphalon for thirty years or so, if only because that’s what I happened to buy when I was young and because the pans are simply indestructible. My cooking routine has changed and I’m preparing more food than ever and I felt like a pan with more square inches would be valuable. Enter this monster.First impression: Uh oh, this is super lightweight. When it comes to cookery, I have associated heaviness with quality so I was put off a little at first. But this is a “me problem”. I was sure that such a pan wouldn’t maintain its heat very well. For such a light pan it does an excellent job in this regard. It’s not a big ol thick cast iron pan, but then again it heats up in a fraction of the time so you can start firing out those omelettes and such quickly (if speed is your thing).Also, this pan is so big a kid could sled down a hill in it. It takes up a lot of real estate on the stove. But there again the benefit outweighs this (for me and what I’m doing). The benefit is that it heats evenly “from stem to stern.” With three or four pancakes going, there is quite a bit of food out on the edge of the pan but heat finds it way out there nicely.After a few months of use I’m still a little put off by the white color. A me issue. But on white, I can’t look into the food and determine if what I’m looking at is oil or not oil. Know what I mean? If you have more than one thing in your pan, it’s good to know what can potentially cook off and what won’t. For single stuff there’s no issue. If you’re frying bacon then it’s grease. I don’t know if I’m making sense.For sauteeing and stuff with lots of oil, I don’t reach for this pan. For everyday stuff this pan is great. Making grilled cheese for four kids? Need to scramble ten eggs? Look no further.

The implant on the outside started chipping on first use, I would pay a little more and get better quality, not worth risking your health.

Love the way it's made , but unfortunately I ordered one to big..... Should have gotten a 12 inch.....

All good but there is a chip out of the nonstick coating & hairline scratches. I had already put raw food in it so I’m not returning it but disappointed. The packaging was fine.

Nonstick lasts around ninety uses before the start of losing non-stick. This being said. THIS SKILLETT IS A VERY GOOD PRODUCT. THE PAN IS STILL WHITE AFTER TWENTU TO THIRTU USES.

I love my new pan. The only thing I wasn’t happy with was the fact that it arrived with 2 small chips, but I needed it for the next day of cooking. I am Italian and I make a big pot of sauce every Sunday. This pan allows me to fry more meatballs and some sausages at one time.Great Pan!

You get what you paid for right? I shouldn't expect a nice heavier, good quality, pan. I mean my dang fingernail almost scratched it right out of the box. If you're looking for a pan to use a couple times, this is the one for you.

Unfortunately these pans will not last. If you put a lid on the pan it chips.
