On rocks, over gesso and under varnish, they don't smear!!
These pens feel really low-end, but I was looking for a metallic set for painting rocks so figured I'd risk it. I'm using Dina Wakley Media Clear Gesso on scrubbed rocks, then put a stripe of each color and let it sit all day. Then I painted over it with DecoArt DuraClear Gloss Varnish...this is the moment of truth, when the marker lines can run terribly...and they didn't!! The colors remained bright and un-smudged. This set has some good saturated colors, but does *not* have your 'knock-it-out-of-the-park' silver and gold. The brush tips take a lot of control...from the thin of the blue to the thick of the white, you should be able to get a wide range of line thicknesses if you are careful. The pens are *very* thin-barreled, so I'll be interested to know how long they last.

Pretty decent pens
I found these to be pretty decent pens. Kinda badd when they come out of the box, but store them upside down for a bit and they work like a charm. Best stored tip side down so that the ink stays in the tip. It's how i was able to remedy the silver i had that 'ran dry'.Even still, i wish there was more ink in the pens, over all, but still they're darn good.

Being water-based, these metallic markers will bleed more than an oil-based marker
I love the colors! Not a fan of ..the tips of the markers should be fine point, but they’re not; the colors bleed; colors aren’t even close to the box shown colors (but I love them); & won’t be able to use them with my stencils, for fear of said bleeding..I’ll find something to use these for because of the beautiful metallic look

They dry fast!
I probably won't use the black, gray or brown colors. They don't show up well on black paper. The markers take some practice to write with because the tips are not firm, they are floppy. Also, you can see my box arrived all tore open. I wish they came in a plastic sleeve or something a bit more durable. I also wish they had the colors written on the side of the markers because it's hard to distinguish between the pinks, greens and purples.

Beautiful colors and very fine tips
The colors of these markers are beautiful, the metallic look of them is so nice and the tips are so thin which is great for coloring books with a lot of detail. I only wish they had a larger selection of colors, but it's great to mix in with your existing markers for some great metallic effects in your art. The caps are color-coded so you know which color you are selecting but it would have been nicer if they were also written on the markers themselves as some are very similar.

Some markers were dried out on arrival
Great set for the price and I would have given 5 stars if all the markers would've worked. 2 markers were already dried out and not working when we received them. That being said, the ones that do work are very rich and pretty. My daughter has been using them in an adult coloring book. We have yet to try them on dark paper, but I imagine they'll be just as pretty

Colors are very dark, with very little, to no sheen. Low quality.
Purchased 2 sets of the, 15 Colors Metallic Brush Marker Pens. One box may have been a return and appeared used, when parcel was received. Seal was broken on box, some tips were damaged and there was ink in the caps and on the outside of the pens. Returned the damaged box and just started using the box I kept, today. The colors are VERY dark, with very little shine, not at all like the listing photograph example. The orange, is a light brown; the dark pink, like a burgundy; the light pink, like a muddy red; the copper colors are dark and almost indistinguishable, from each other; the light purple is very dark and the worst of all, is the dark purple, which is not only almost black, but very watery in consistency, with absolutely NO sheen, that a metallic pen should have.Have purchased other metallic brush pens in the past and these are certainly not acceptable and inferior to other brands, with only 10 colors.I feel it is very misleading to allow these pens to be listed with the gel pens, since the Metallic Brush Marker Pens, are an entirely different item of low quality.

Nice pens!
The brush pens are opaque and offer great color. The only issue i have is the "color" on the pen top is not a match to the actual ink color (dark pink top but purple ink) so make sure you have a test page to make sure you are getting the color you expect.
