I have a 24' round above ground pool. I was looking for an easy to use pool vacuum that did not need to be connected to the filter. Since my pool is above ground, I did not want to spend the money on an automated vacuum. This vacuum is perfect! Easy to use. Great suction. Easy to store.I will address some of the issues I read in the reviews and questions as I have not have a problem with any of them.1. The power button is not hard to find or turn on/off. It is a clearly indicated red button that pushes in easily when ready for use. I turn it on just before lowering it into the pool.2. The included filter picks up sand, leaves, and hair. I purchased the sand/silt filter because some of the reviews stated the included filter did not pick up sand. It is still in the package. There is no need to purchase an additional filter. I have two daughters and myself all with long hair and my pool is situated between pecan trees so there are always leaves, hair, and sand in the pool every morning. The leaves I can see but the hair and sand it picks up is amazing. Quite disgusting if you really think about it. :)3. My initial battery charge lasted about 5 hours. It takes me about 30-45 minutes to vacuum my pool (that time will diminish with experience I'm sure). I was able to vacuum every day for almost two weeks before re-charging. I did have a little difficulty getting the charger connected to the vacuum but I'm sure that was just user error.All in all, I'm very pleased and satisfied with this purchase and I'm sure you will too.

This cordless pool vacuum is outstanding I call it my underwater dust buster. This vacuum is easy to use, has plenty of power to vacuum leaves and bugs and fairly easy to clean. I found that the filter bag that comes with the unit is difficult to get all the dirt out so I purchased a sand and silt filter bag which is much easier to clean. The pool suction vacuum provided with the pool is so inconvenient to use and this cordless vacuum is so much easier. This cordless pool vacuum is almost as easy to use as a dust buster. Just attach to your standard pool cleaning pole, turn on the vacuum and run over the areas with the debris. After removing from the pool, you drain and dry the unit, rinse the filter bag and recharge for the next use. It only takes me minutes to vacuum the pool which is very convenient.

So far, so good. I purchased this unit to replace the Pool Blaster base model I purchased last season. Unfortunately, that model only lasted one summer This model is more powerful. If you start to see dirt spray out the side of the unit when it’s submerged in your pool, that means your filter will need cleaned.The only issue I have with this model is the charger is difficult to press onto the unit. It takes a little maneuvering and hard pressing to get it attached.I will adjust my rating based on how long this unit lasts.

This is the second Pool Blaster I’ve owned. This product does a good job in helping to maintain your pool cleaning efforts easily. I spend around 30 minutes a week in general with the Pool Blaster vacuuming my pool and it keeps it really clean. Easy to use, recharge and clean to prep for next use. It will pick up almost all debts and has a strong suction for its size. It is a must have for me and my pool. As with any tool it has to be taken care of and charged as recommended. Do not overcharge the battery, charge as the instructions say. If you are a handy person, when the recharge battery inside the unit eventually stops recharging. You can order a replacement on line and replace it to extend the life and use of the vacuum. This will be at your own accord, ability and responsibility which would void any warranty left. Just wanted to pass this forward to any handy minded people. My first Pool Blaster last almost ten years with 3 internal battery replacements over time. It’s a tough and well built tool. Common sense and personal ability in mind, a welcome addition to any one’s pool upkeep. A must for me.

Its a great vacuum and I'm glad I bought it. However way too many products are coming opened. This was retaped and clearly put back in the box. If I pay for new I expect new new.

I can't understand the mixed reviews this product has received.I needed something for touch ups as I like my pool clean all the time and the Pool Blaster filled the bill. I actually use it now to clean my whole in-ground pool.I wouldn't recommend it for that if you have a lot of leaves as the filter is small and would fill up quick.The filter bag is easy to clean though. It doesn't have the power of pool vacuum but it also doesn't have the setup issues either. Just turn it on and put it in the pool.I get about an hour out of the battery which is good for two cleanings. The charging of the battery takes 8-10 hours. The one downside to the unit is that the charger doesn't automatically shut down when the batteries are full. I don't know what happens when you overcharge batteries but it can't be good.The batteries are NiMH so it is good to completely deplete and charge them every couple of months. Overall considering the price the Pool Blaster more than exceeded my expectations.This is my second review: I have just finished my second season with the Pool Blaster. The battery has held up and still get two cleanings out of it.The little rubber cap that prevents debris from going back in the pool snapped. Unfortunately one has to buy the whole cap assembly to replace it. I used a little super glue and so far it has held up. Remember one thing if you are considering buying this product.Small leaves are picked up easily. Large ones like maple leaves not so much.The inlet tube is about the size of a quarter and the bag is about quart size. Great for touch ups and light cleaning. If it died today I would still think it was money well spent.
