Horizons Math curriculum is parent-led, with detailed lesson plans, resources, and materials provided to parents in the Horizons 3rd Grade Math Teacher's Guide (sold separately). Review: Great math program, accelerated, with just the right amount of review - I love this math program. We are homeschooling two 8 yr old boys and it is has just the right amount of challenge/review with each lesson. Each lesson is in color with graphics to ensure understanding. I used Math U See and School Zone before this, but I like this one best. Review: Really Like the Curriculum - Used for K-3 so far - I've been using Horizons since my kiddo was in kindergarten. My daughter is ahead of her public school friends. My daughter does one lesson a day and then I deep dive with 2 print-outs to further teach the concepts since this in light on deep diving. So she'll get a lesson and then, let's say, I we deep dive into geometry. For a couple weeks she'll get an additional 2 pages of geometry that I find from TPT or some other site. The Horizon book will spiral back to it but I just want her to learn it different ways and this seems to be working very well. She had learned multiplication by end of second grade and her friends are just starting arrays in third grade. This isn't considered a rigorous math program but if you supplement with other things, I feel good about where my kiddo is at in math. It's not colorful and engaging like bright and beautiful homeschool curriculum (I never remember the name) but I believe it's a bit more hardy...

Great option for kids!
Love the Horizons sets. Not too much to do at a time. But my kids learn so much from it.

I like these books!
I like Horizon Math books and have enjoyed using them with my kids. They introduce a lot of varied concepts and seem a little advanced but not annoyingly so. I use them from Kindergarten through 3rd grade and think that they are good. I admit that I don't use the Teacher's Guides for much more than corrections. But they have a lot of ideas for those who need them.

Good worksheets
Easy to follow instructions, colorful, I like the cycling pattern of the types of problems so it doesn't get boring doing the same thing for a whole page.
