Petter Hegre 100 Naked Girls

Nudity. What does it evoke? Sexuality? Freedom? Familiarity? Comfort? The human as abstract? Hegre captures all of these in this book through a series of portraits of different young women posing nude. While a few images are clearly erotic, not all are. Ellen (#23) strikes a very pose which produces an almost abstract piece of photographic artwork. Ingrid, #33, poses in a work that inspires a sense of playful freedom. Kristina, #47, stretches out in joy. Lza's (#57) tatoos make for almost disturbing art. The second portrait of Sabina (#76) evokes a greater sense of familiarity and comfort than anything else, and so forth. In each image, one is absorbed and subsumed into a world which evokes emotions. Sometimes sexuality is a part of those emotions but often it is not. The composition in the images is always excellent. There's a reason why Hegre's art is highly acclaimed. He's a real master.

Yup, there are 100 naked girls all right, and most of them are very attractive (one or two I didn't think were all that attractive, but some were absolutely breathtaking). The photography is good, and to his credit the photographer keeps it simple and simply takes good pictures of attractive, naked women. I highly recommend it.

I was basically looking for a book with good looking women taking in a professional manner. I liked this book. although the subjects are not professional models, they looked good and the pictures are of high quality.

Looks to me like his other books are better. These girls aren't all that great. Too skinny, too pale, never smile. Boring.

Hegre has really made a name for himself through the years, and I have to say that since I started finding his pictures, I developed certain respect for his work. Nevertheless, I gotta admit, this book doesn't particularly improve my opinion of his talent. Now, the good parts. One of the things I have always admired of Mr. Hegre's work, is that he's one of the very few photographers I've seen that can shoot a picture "showing pink", and it looks really artistic (with a few exceptions) in contrast with the cheap "pink showing pictures" you find elsewhere. And his shots look amazingly sharp 99% of the time. And for the book itself, the quality of the paper, the printing and the binding is really good. The bad, well, as many people have said before me, there's very little difference, if any at all, between this book's contents, and those find on his website, and others where he collaborates. Second, I expected much more from someone with his talent and experience. I think that any serious amateur photographer with the right equipment could have nailed those shots. Third, there is very little variety. Don't misunderstand me, this women, almost without exception, are so stunning that they take your breath away. But they look a lot alike. I don't totally regret having bought it, but if I had seen it first, I probably wouldn't have.

hegre's work is amazing,..excellent photography, very inspiritaional if your pursuing boudoir style Photo-work,..I would recommend this. Its on my coffee table with a suicide girls gallery book .

c'est fou comme Peter Hegre sait choisir ses modèles et la façon de les éclairer meme si elles n'ont pas toutes l'air naturelles , voir un peu coincées...Je rigole car ces filles sont magnifiques voir de véritables aimants pour chaque homme

From the other reviews on here my 1 star may seem harsh or unwarranted but I feel it is completely justified, here is why. Petter Hegre is a photographer of exceptional skill, I knew of his work from his original website and the work he did with his wife Luba, He also got to hone his skills working for one of the finest photographers we have been blessed with - Richard Avedon, sadly this book is nothing short of a discredit and embarrassment to both their names and talent. As the famous saying goes, never judge a book by its cover, I did which is why I purchased this. The cover is the kind of imagery I was expecting, skilled control of light, exceptional clarity and detail and enough of an expression from the model to make the image work. The contents of this book is a collection of amateur work, no lighting control, no professional posing, no style, no substance, nothing. The images contained within this book do not appear to be images by Petter Hegre, I know its his book, but I just can not believe he would produce such amateur rubbish that someone new to photography with no real understanding of the camera settings would go, meh, it's not bad, I could have done worse. I put Petter up there with the greats of this genre of photography such as Stefan Soell, Frank De Mulder, Stefan May and Marc Lagrange but none of these photographers would ever produce work this poor, let alone allow the public to see it. Petter please, you are better than this rubbish, produce the work you are capable of and show the world your talent and inspire us again. I bought this as a model photographer looking for inspiration but instead I found images I could better without even trying.

Das Cover des Buches ist wohl irgendwo verloren gegangen. Das tut den hübschen Mädchen im Inneren keinen Abbruch. Ich nehme an das sind Mädchen aus Russland oder der Ukraine. Jedenfalls sehr gut anzuschauen. Den Fotos merkt man aber an, dass die technische Ausstattung, als das Buch vor 25 Jahren entstand, noch nicht auf dem heutigen Niveau war. Ich würde sagen das Buch ist ein erotischer Klassiker. Man sieht Katya Clover z-B. und Luba, Hegres Lieblingsmodel. Zu einer kunstvollen erotischen Fotografie gehört etwas mehr, als ein Mädchen auszuziehen und es abzulichten. Das stellt der Meister eindeutig unter Beweis. Er lässt zwei Mädchen ihre Haare in der Badewanne einschäumen. Ein solches Foto habe ich noch nie gesehen. Es ist ein einmaliges Buch.
