Beautiful Design, Premium feel, Natural Typing Flow
Setup:Plug-and-play easy—paired instantly with my iPad, no fuss.Typing Feel:As someone who normally uses a chunky gaming keyboard, I was shocked by how natural this felt. I started typing at full speed right away, no adjustment needed. The keys just work.Design Love:Looks sharp: Fits the iPad’s sleek vibe.Surprisingly hefty: Not ultra-light, but the weight makes it feel premium.Pretty lights: The backlighting is a nice bonus (and looks cool in dim lighting).Trade-offs:Not a folio: Can’t fold it flat or flip the keyboard back like a softer case—it’s all-in on “laptop mode.”Shortcut cheat sheet included: Super handy for mastering iPadOS tricks.Verdict:If you’re like me and wanted to turn your 12.9” iPad Pro into a legit laptop substitute, this keyboard nails it. Yes, it’s less flexible than a floppy folio, but the typing experience and solid build make it worth it. Wish I’d bought it sooner.

Update: sent replacement unit after 10months use
Update:After the initial review the customer service contacted me and offered a free replacement. This is more than I expected and the professionalism displayed was a mark above the norm. I would recommend this company as an honest and customer focused vendor.Original review:This worked well, seemed well made but is no longer functioning after 10 months of indoor use. I don’t use it for work, just home with minimal vacation travel. It protected and held the iPad Pro securely. Battery life was good and the backlit keys were welcome in low light situations. However for the price I expected it to last more than 10 months. It is charged showing two blue lights like the unit is on and paired but the iPad doesn’t recognize it and the keys won’t light up. Disappointing.

I should have bought this one again!
I’ve had this keyboard for a year and a half, and have used it daily. Yes, it’s heavy, but that’s fine with me. It’s very sturdy, and the magnet that holds my ipad in place is very strong. It still works beautifully, but it’s just beat-up looking now. I figured I’d get another keyboard for use out in public, but went with a cheaper option this time. I didn’t realize how good I had it before! The cheaper keyboard feels flimsier and literally wobbles when I’m typing on my lap. My ipad also just falls off when I go to close the keyboard. And some of the keys are overly sensitive and end up giving me a whole bunch of extra letters. I should have just paid a little more for the quality I’ve been used to with my beautiful (well, not so beautiful any more with all the use it’s gotten, haha) burgundy keyboard! I still use it at home, though. This thing feels like it’ll keep on going for years!

Good, not perfect
At first, I loved this keyboard case. The extra row of keys (modeled on the MacBook keyboard) really helped: sometimes I can't get an app to swipe closed, and the task switcher key solves that issue. Plus the microphone button makes doing voice input trivially easy to start. And the magnetic attachment/cantilever design is just like the Apple Magic Keyboard I already have. I mainly bought this new keyboard case because the old one has started periodically losing connection so that typing doesn't work and I need to restart the iPad. So far, so good. Now the bad: it _is_ heavier. The Magic Keyboard is 1 lb 9.7 oz (728.6 grams), while this typecase Keyboard Case is 1 lb 13.7 oz (842 grams). So this new one is 15% heavier, which isn't a ton, but it's noticeable. Plus the magnets are apparently weaker: with the Apple device, I could slide the iPad closer to me by pulling on the iPad itself and the whole thing would slide over. With this, most of the time the exact same procedure causes the iPad to pop loose. Probably the greater weight also has an effect here, I can't tell.So I'm stuck. I like those extra keys, and the build quality seems pretty good. I think the hinge is _slightly_ wobblier than the Apple one, but overall it seems solid. And the backlighting is also cool. But the iPad popping off is irritating, as is the startup lag (for the Bluetooth to settle down) .If the Apple Magic Keyboard had all the keys of the MacBook or this typecase, I'd really be a happy camper.OR if this typecase had better magnets and quicker connections, I'd accept the weight.

Two thumbs up or 5 stars
I love this case!! It works awesomely with my 13 inch iPad!! The magnets are pretty strong that hold it on. It has an awesome Apple Pencil holder on it and the keyboard itself types smoothly!! I am glad I invested into this case/keyboard. Very much worth the money you spend! Comes in a really nice protective box as well. Oh yeah! The lighting on the keyboard is cool as well! It is bright and has multiple colors!

It’s Perfect
I love this keyboard. It works perfectly for me. It’s just the right size for my hands and the backlit keyboard is a nice addition. I find I use this tablet more than my main computer….I wish I had this keyboard long before now.I’m extremely happy with this product.
