So far it has work fine, I only have use it a couple of time, and its easy to use. What I really like about it or the reason why I bought this one is because it does NOT use batteries, you have to shake it a few times and it turn on, the scale stays on a couple of minutes and turns off again, and to power it on again just shake it. The other ones I have had they all have damaged because of the batteries, the batteries spill the fluid inside and that liquid damage the circuits inside the scale and stop working. Hopefully I won't have this problem anymore because this scale does not use bateries

This product requires no batteries. It used kinetic energy to power up. It is super light, compact and the screen is easy to read.

I changed my old scale that was very stressful to insert AAA batteries (lost contact and sometimes turn on sometimes not). So this idea of autonomous kinetic energy with no battery is really killer, You just shake it 6 times and the scale is active to be used. Some little impractical things:- Wondering what is the maximum recharges the kinetic system will have (let you know in some years I hope)- Screen is not really friendly, the last digit at right is almost covered by the external frame, so you have to look over well to see that last digit. If you are picky, please bear in mind that.- Handler is not practical, my old scale has a wider band with clip which is better, this one has a very small metal hook you have to insert with attention! so is not quite ergonomic and intuitive I mean .I tested using the airline scale, it has 2 grams of error (not sure if scale of airline) but it does not matter at all.Just think you will not have issues in any travel if batteries are run out is the unique advantage of this scale... nevertheless the not sure how long will the kinetic energy system last.

As a serial overpacker who travels often for work, this is hands down the best travel scale. You can convert from lb/kg easily for international travel. It’s super lightweight and small so you can slip it into carryons with no problem. It hasn’t let me down yet and has been almost exactly accurate to airline scales. And the biggest plus is that it only takes a quick shake and it’s ready to use so no worrying about a charger or purchasing batteries.

Got because I needed something easy for my tech-phobic wife to use on a air and rail trip through the christmas markets of Gernmany. Once she learned how to shake it to turn it on, it woured well for her to stay under her 50 pound checked baggave air weight.
