For fans of the Oakley X-metal line of sunglasses official replacement components have been harder and harder to come by for several years now with the long since discontinuation of the line. Lenses, earsocks, nose bombs, orbital gaskets... all of these are going to require replacement at some point unless your sunglasses are for display only as with exposure to the skin's oils and elements from daily use, the rubber will begin to become tacky and show signs of breakdown.Obtaining official replacements these days is more or less an impossible challenge requiring either that you pre-emptively purchased replacements over a decade ago and have kept them stored away, or that you peruse the various resellers on other online marketplaces and pay a premium.With official replacements more or less unavailable, these leaves the many aftermarket options. These Hileen replacements arrived quickly in a small clear baggie. Two sizes were provided to help ensure your glasses fit your face as intended and initial usage has thus far been positive.Swapping out nosebombs is a 30 second endeavor. These Hileen replacements quickly and easy slid into place on my frames and provided a comfortable, premium look and feel. Texture and consistency was equivalent to the official Oakley Nosebombs for which I still have and they felt as if they had the same level of grip and durability as the official pads they replaced. As it is winter, I haven't tested them yet under wet conditions such as when exposed at a pool/lake or during moments of intense sun/sweating, but thus far they appear to offer the same level of grip on my nose as one would expect. It's impossible to tell at this point how long the rubber will last under standard conditions, but all signs point to this being an excellent replacement for older Oakley Juliet style sunglasses you may still be using.

I didn't even realize just how worn the nose pieces on my Juliets were until I took them off to put in these replacements. But the new ones fit absolutely perfect, look like the original, and feel like they did the first day I got them. Great aftermarket solution if you notice it's time for a replacement!
