The flashlight comes with a made in China Battery the dont tell you its precharged.My battery was damaged when I went to charge it without knowledge it was charged it emitted a terrible smell that made my kitchen stink bad. I contacted them and they sent me a new one free but it took a few days to get.My overall impression was that the lights body feels solid but there was a major downside... The battery being damaged. I had the battery in it it seemed to work fine all modes worked and very bright...2 days later was checking the mail at night and the light didn't work when I tried to use it leaving me in the dark to fiddle with keys watching my step. Even after they sent me a new battery it turns on but its not nearly as bright and doesnt seem to cycle modes anymore. Even with the new battery it get hot way too fast. within a minute its nearly too hot touch.I feel like for the money I did NOT get the quality advertised I still have the light but I would not purchase it again.The faulty battery ruined the circuitry is what Im guessing and if a simple bad battery can ruin the ability to swap modes I would say DONT SELL IT WITH CHEAP BATTERIES INCLUDED. We are paying nearly 60$ and getting chinese made batteries are not up to par for the price. Black Scout Survival is a good guy but I wonder if he knows the problems people have had with the batteries lowering the overall rating of his light since it implies to use that battery.Not much info came with the light as to the direction to put the battery in or if it comes charged or doesn't. Also a downside.Its probably a great light if you have a quality battery but the heat from even a new battery makes me question the quality and there is no way for me to know if it was the light all along or the battery that caused that.Its still bright but my Bell and Howell light has performed with no hiccups at the same brightness and cost only a fraction of the cost. Difference is Bell and Howell light is not made as self defense light unlike the BSS V3That is my honest review.

Powerful, and bright flashlight. Love the momentary on and ease of use to get to strobe and power settings. Really nice that it has the removable crenellated bezel and filter (even though I don't have a use for the red filter).The USB charging is nice and easy to use since everyone has USB micro cords floating around. Not had a chance to check on battery life yet.

It's a well-thought, sturdy and well-made flashlight. It handles really well, buttons are easily accessible and it works without flaws. I use it for walking with my dog in local park to light my path. Strike bezel is quite intimidating and seems that it can deliver a serious bite when used for self-defense scenario.I added a lanyard connected to a hole in pocket clip to prevent it from falling when walking/jogging (I carry it in my hand).I highly recommend that flashlight - for $49 with battery it's a steal!!!

Have had this light for almost a year and carry it around quite a bit. I love the rechargeable battery and the light has been living up to daily use abuse.

I love this flashlight. It is more than sufficiently bright and the bezel configuration is excellent. It does not heat up like similar type flashlights. It is easy to carry and use and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

It’s a great working light. Very bright, easy to tuck it away and have something in case of an emergency. Would recommend!

Is a good torch and I do really like it. Would have preferred if the torch remembered which mode you were last in instead of always starting in high and having to flick through the modes. However not a huge problem just a little annoying when using regularly but for short periods of ti.e

Nachdem ich nun ewig die Atactical/Wowtac A1 in der Tasche hatte, folge ich nun der Modellpflege der Herstellers. Und ich muss sagen, dass alle meine Kritikpunkte restlos beseitigt wurden. Na gut.... Alle bis auf einen. Der Gürtelclip kann immer noch nicht umgedreht werden (um die Lampe z.B. an einer Basecap zu befestigen) aber damit kann ich leben. Vielleicht wird das bei der Version 4 dann was.Der Wichtigste Punkt bei dieser Lampe als Gerät zur Selbstverteidigung, also der sofortige Zugriff auf den Strobo-Modus, ist gegeben. Thumbs up. Eindeutige Empfehlung.

Man merkt den Markenhersteller hinter diesem Produkt. An der Qualität gibt es nichts zu Mängeln, genau so wie an der Handhabung. Ich kann sie guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen. Ich nutze sie Täglich bis zu 1 Stunde.
