This is a very nice larger sized ceramic vase with a whitewashed effect for the outer coating. The ceramic feels nice a thick, which should stand the test of time. The white and orangish colors look really great together. The vase looks like it has been handed down through the ages, or a family heirloom. There is something with the shape that I can't quite put my finger on. It remind me of something that we used to have on the farm growing up. (I grew up in an area that was almost lost in time, and way behind the times.) I want to say that if this had a wooden top that was about 2 inches bigger than the lip, and had a small post in the center to lift the lid off with, then this could be an old pickle jar.
