These were packaged good but one of the jugs were cracked on the top and chipped on the bottom, as well as these were packaged it had to be prior to shipping. Not a true half gallon, about 1 cup shy.Update: seller reached out directly and made this process right, this was a great example of excellent customer service and wish more sellers had a business motto like this. Great seller to buy from and enjoy the fact they take actions upon their self to address issues

The bottles were packaged very securely and have been really good to use. I especially appreciated the optional plastic carry handles that were included. Having put them on the bottles, I grew to quickly appreciate them.

Everything tastes better in glass, and these jugs give you the option to store your home made ice teas, juicesor concoctions safely and cleanly in good old glass.I have another half gallon jug to compare this one to and while this one is sturdy and easy to handle, it lacks the 1/2 quart and quart markings, and the cap is not as substantial, but a second cap for each jug is included in case you loose one.Just like the milkman used to deliver, I really like these glass jugs.

We use 8+ gallons of filtered water per day. For the longest time, it was convenient to buy gallon jugs of water, then re-use them for a few weeks by refilling from our own filter. Having freshly filtered water sit in plastic for a day or so, is really not conducive to high purity standardsI saw these bottles and figured glass over plastic any day. As it turns out, for convenience, they are way better than the bulky plastic gallon jugs. These slim 1/2 gallons are much easier to move around in the refrigerator making them a better "every day" solution. You can also wash them over and over again, whereas plastic, you can only re-use so many times before they get "funky", making them a better "long-term" solution. The glass is heavy duty and solid. The lids secure tightly (they don't leak when turned on their side), and best of all, the "clink" they make reminds me of the milk man of old. The extra caps and handles that accompany the bottles are an added bonus.In the end, these bottles are not only sturdy, conveniently sized, and nostalgic, but will also keep a few more plastic jugs out of circulation. Win win!

I like the shape of these old fashioned milk or juice jars. I like making lemonade in them. The lids screw on and seal nicely. The handles are a good addition, making them easier to pour when the jars are full. They are not made for hot liquid as I found out after pouring boiling hot water in one to steep tea bags for sweet tea. If I had stuck to the plan and only used them for juice, lemonade, or any cold beverage, I'd still have two of them! Overall, I would recommend!
