Filters better than a Brita maxtra and really looks beautiful. I had been looking for a glass jug in Ivory for over 2 years and believe this is the only one available

We have gone through so many filter jugs, which is a joke. All of them developed mildews after a few months and some of the stuff just caught in the filter drip where it is impossible to wash.It doesn't matter how much sun you get ( for goodness sake we are in Ireland!!) with the filter core exposed in light, it is a non stop issue. With this jug, the filter is wrapped in a case so less likely to get mildew and it looks fabulous in our kitchen. Love it so far

I really wanted to like this. It looks lovely. It's a tall 3l water jug made of fairly thin glass.The idea is great but it's not that easy to use. It doesn't fit under the tap in my kitchen, so it has to be filled with a smaller jug and then the water inlet spout doesn't really work very well and you end up with water everywhere. The glass handle is thin as is the main jug and I fear the slightest knock will break it.The filter needs careful care, so this is not an occasional use device, you need to keep using it and or refresh the filters. THe instructions are OK.It looks lovely, it's very smart and I like the rubberised base that keeps it from slipping on the work top.It's a bit of a fiddle getting it ready for use, make sure you remove ALL the plastic wrapping, even the filter is shrink wrapped and I nearly missed it.I will probably get used to using this and it may get easier in time, but the fact that I can't fill it from the kitchen tap is a problem for me.

It took a long time for me to convince myself to buy this jug as it seemed very expensive but im happy i did. Its really good quality,looks lovely and the water tastes great too.

This jug looks good but it'splastic NOT glass as it states in write up and on box .To make matters worse the jug had a crack from top to bottom sent it back

The media could not be loaded. This water kettle is 3L total capacity, 1.8L filtered-water capacity, approximately 7 cups of water. The slim design is space saving, easily into most fridges. The body made of hand-blown glass, the glass is clearly visible with smooth lines, stylish colours and more artistic shapes. Removable filter housing, easy to put in the dishwasher for cleaning or hand washing. The kettle is very durable and nice modern looking as well. The water after filtering the taste is much better and more healthy

The media could not be loaded. I wanted a glass filter jug so that it would last longer than the plastic one that it is supposed to be replacing, but unfortunately this did not deliver on its promise. I did not bother to taste the water and just sent it straight back. It looks good, but it is not glass and that’s a no-no for me, I’m afraid.

Very happy with the purchase, I was looking for glass rather than the usual plastic.

Wir hatten längere Zeit einen Wasserfilter der von einem deutschen Hersteller stammt. Da dieser allerdings mit einer Kunststoffkanne arbeitet und wir diese gerne gegen Glas ersetzen wollten, haben wir die Möglichkeit das System von Glacier Fresh zu testen sehr gerne wahrgenommen.Das Produkt wird sorgfältig in einer Kartonage verpackt und in Plastik verschweisst geliefert. Ich finde dies aus hygienischer Sicht extrem gut außerdem gefällt mir das eher puristische Design.Die Kanne selber ist aus dickwandigem Glas und hat ein sehr solides Gewicht, dies war der eigentliche Grund zum Wechsel. Ich bin der Ansicht, dass Glas neben BPA Freiheit auch geschmackliche Vorteile bietet aber darüber kann man selbstverständlich streiten.Das Befüllen ist extrem einfach und praktisch selbsterklärend, man gibt einfach Wasser über den selbstöffnenden Deckel zu, dann läuft auch schon der Filtervorgang, das geht ausgesprochen schnell und so steht gefiltertes Wasser sofort zur Verfügung.Durch das höhere Gewicht, muss man zwar beim Ausschenken etwas vorsichtiger sein aber man gewöhnt sich schnell daran und so fällt es einem nach ein paar Tagen nicht mehr großartig auf. Für Kinder und ältere Menschen kann das allerdings grundsätzlich etwas schwieriger sein aber wir wollen auf den Vorteil des Glas Materials gegenüber Kunststoff nicht mehr verzichten.Ein weiterer Vorteil ist die längere Haltbarkeit der Filter. Der Membranfilter ist einmal jährlich, der Aktivkohlefilter alle 2 Monate zu wechseln. Man sollte aber die Keimbildung berücksichtigen, falls man die Filterkanne nicht täglich in Gebrauch hat. Ich muss allerdings dazu sagen, dass ich bisher noch keinen Ersatzfilter für dieses Glacier System entdeckt habe. Ich habe nun 2 Monate Zeit bis zum ersten Filterwechsel und sollte bis dahin nichts geeignetes auftauchen werde ich die Bewertung ändern, denn ohne Filter macht das System natürlich wenig Sinn.Ich finde das Produkt ausgesprochen praktisch, bin sehr zufrieden und vergebe daher 5 Sterne!

Great purchase on my part. Clean refreshing water Everytime. Would highly recommend this product. Better than plastic.
