Best purchase. The day I was bestowed this ax from the most holy people of Amazon. I used it vanquish the most unholy of fruits watermelon. After that I took into work where we destroyed everything from fragile basil to whole frying oil jugs. It was a glorious day of drinking and destroying anything. I vow to keep and hold this ax and with a strong hand destroy any Enemy until I am destroyed myself then my ax will pass on to the valient person or persons who take me on.

Also splits horses!
Got invaded again last week, was sure glad to have this little baby hanging over the fireplace when it happened. I've never had an easier time dealing with cavalry: even if you don't knock the rider right out of his saddle, his mount won't exactly be in any condition to let him go around for another charge, if you know what I mean. Definitely worth the extra fifty bucks for those last couple of inches on the blade - the added weight really improves the balance of this already-excellent polearm. Would definitely be interested in purchasing 10 or 12-foot models if they became available.Cons: None, although the addition of a spear point or maybe a billhook or two would make it a lot easier to snag the more nimble riders (like those pesky mounted archers!)
