I have not tried to tack anything to a wall. Besides the quality of this stapler is not very good. It looks great but not made for heavy usage.

This is the replacement stapler they sent & when I opened it to load staples the piece flew out rendering the stapler inoperable...no easy way to reinstall. The first stapler received had the same piece just floating inside. Very disappointed. The outside seems sturdy, but the internal pieces are flimsy & not well constructed. This item needs a quality review & revision before selling! Lots of potential though
