The Last Shaman Paperback – September 26, 2012

The Last Sharman is one of my most favorite books of all time. I stayed up many nights in a row reading day and night until I finished it. It was better than a Harry Potter book but yet filled with lessons and wisdom that we can use every day in creating what we want in our life. The story takes you deep into the the swamps in Africa where you discover another world filled with magic, shape shifting, intuition, desire, and are able to see things through a whole new world. I highly recommend reading this book!

Never have I highlighted or taken such copious note on a work of "fiction". The life lessons abound and in reading The Last Shaman I began to know myself, equipped with new tools to ascend to a higher level of being. Brava!

I have been a fan of William's work for many years, he touched my soul when I first read The Magicians Way. I highly anticipated the release of this new book, with an unknowing of why so much. I now know. I just knew it was going to be really profound, just how profound has taken my breath away.You see over the last 6 months I had been in Master training to become a Balinese Spiritual Master and had experienced many extraordinary things along the way. Not long after the book was released digitally I bought it for my Kindle. I was so excited. I started reading it with great anticipation and a true knowing that the contents were invaluable to me. I stopped reading it for a week or so as I was coming close to my graduation, time was filled with many preparations and ceremonies.I took my Kindle with me on my 7 day pilgrimage, I started reading it again in between events, the lessons within the book became a mirror of my adventures. It was blowing my mind. The synchronistic events were at times a real perplextion but in true fashion, I accepted the power of the universe and it always delivering what we need at the right time.I journeyed through my Master Ceremony with Mark and William in the back of my mind, always full of gratitude and a smile. I can not express deeply enough how grateful I actually am. The insights and learnings that I physically applied in my life were invaluable and the further expansion of my soul due to this has created a space of Pure Love within me.Reading this book, will change your life, I suggest you be open to the messages and literally apply them in your life, you will change beyond your realm of understanding. Unimaginable comes to mind.Thankyou dear William for sharing so lovingly your wisdom, knowledge and transparecy.You are an inspiration, a pioneer and a true gentleman.God Bless.

Wow. I have just finished reading The Last Shaman, and I feel compelled to write my first review and to share the importance of this book.The Last Shaman is a compelling story that took me on a personal journey and has lead me to look at myself and the world from a higher perspective. I found it to have a unique quality that had me eagerly anticipating what would happen next to the characters whilst at the same time, I felt that I was one of the characters - learning the lessons and gaining the life altering tools that were being taught.Without wanting to give too much away (Just read the book yourself! No doubt you will get what you need for yourself along with your own personal ah-ha's), here is what I learnt from The Last Shaman:When I look at the world, I have come to the full realisation that everyone has a heart. By "heart" I mean, something that each individual born on this earth has come here to express, something they care about, something they love, a passion, a talent, something deeply important to their spirit. Our enemies, the corrupt leaders of this world, the people who run the banks, the governments, the big corporations, even the people in our daily lives who we don't understand or connect with, they ALL have a heart. We judge and blame them for the injustice of this world, but we are going about this the wrong way. Trying to fix, blame and point fingers at other's egoic or self-serving actions is not the answer, they are just running around acting from their beliefs and childhood wounds (like many of us unconsciously are). They have forgotten their heart. They have forgotten what's true and important to them. They have forgotten their passion and purpose. What if we appealed to their hearts? What if we appealed to the hearts of all? What if that was woken up in our world? This is using the higher against the lower - profound premise in the book.I get this when I look at myself and my own life as well. This book has given me tools that take me beyond creating from my beliefs and childhood wounds to creating from a place deep within my soul. I now see the distractions that take me and have taken me from my path and truth. And I am more focused than ever on living that passion that is so deeply special and important to my soul and wellbeing.In my opinion, The Last Shaman is one of those books that will go down in history as life changing, bringing a massive shift of consciousness and focus along with a change of heart to it's readers and the world. Thank you William. This book is a gift to the world. You have written a masterpiece.

Normally i just dont read fiction based spiritual books . I find them shallow or preachy. And find myself thinking, "This story is killing me, for god sake get me to the next 'point'.HOWEVER i was absolutely engrossed by this book and enjoyed reading the journey of the characters and the rich African landscape as i did uncovering the incredibly powerful truths this book masterfully weaves into the story line.This book kills any of its ilk and is well worth the readI highly recommend it.

William Whitecloud is a genius - yet again! Sometimes it takes a while for his lessons to sink in, and that's because this is not the same old stuff spewed out and repeated by authors everywhere. This is unique and deeply transformational. This is wisdom from a Master.I respect and admire him even more because he has a sense of humour, is incredibly humble and doesn't put himself on a pedestal. Now isn't that refreshing. William's writing challenges my thinking, and I like that! And read the Magicians Way if you haven't already - I promise that you'll at first be challenged too - and then hooked! Why? Read it and find out!

The Last Shaman is a rare find; colourful, captivating story telling combined with nuggets of wisdom and gems of truth that leave readers with a gift that can have a longer lasting resonance in their lives if they so choose. The gold is not so much in the story or its plot but in the telling of that story and Mark Vale's journey through the perceptual filters of his reality. William gently guides the reader to travel with Mark and in so doing I found myself on the inside of the tale of The Last Shaman; asking about my own perceptions, my fears, my aspirations and my soul's purpose. It is not often that I finish a book compelled to go back to page one and start again. The Last Shaman is more than a worthy successor to William's first book, it is a contemporary tale of magic for the present day hero. And William calls us all to be the hero of our own lives.

This book follows on fro the magicians way book, if you've not read that book, you should probably go ahead and read that first. This book is really the more advanced step, moving forward from the magicians way. Highly recommended.

I loved the Magician's Way and was worried this book wouldn't live up to the magic... but it outdid it!I loved the story and so many learnings & lessons about life & the universe in this book! Genius doesn't even begin to describe it.I work & teach tools on a consciousness basis so the book also helped me see these in a new way which helps me teach tools to others....I have had the pleasure of meeting William too, and he is as inspirational as the book.

I feel like this book is not an original copy the text has faded lines and it's much heavier than it should be, unlike the previous novel by the same auther which I purchased in store.

This book and the one before it are both great. To start with, the writing is a little on the cheesy side.. or maybe by someone who isnt a great literary author.. BUT THEN you realize the story and even more so, the advice/ hints/ help/ wisdom/ insight into how to live a more magickal/ meaningful life are top notch. The story really takes off- and makes for pretty addictive reading. it's not about someone writing a poetic novel.. it is delivering really sound wisdom to you chapter by chapter.If it is the last shaman in the store, you want to be grabbing now. Cover look pretty too. Good deal.
