Very nice
We assembled it pretty easy. The quality is very nice. We will see how it holds up. I do not see any reason why it would not.

Want have to worry about this plug been under rated.
Very, very heavy duty, it’s worth the peace of mind to know this plug will handle anything I need and much more.Don’t take chances with the cheap ones!

Great plug!
While this plug is very expensive, it is more than worth the price. I’ve used many similar plugs in my life but none compare to the quality of this plug. I used it to connect a portable generator to my house with a 50 amp service.

Worth the cost
Yes the price is high...but... the cord caps for this amperage available at the box stores, much less expensive, are nowhere as rugged. 6/3 SO cable fits in nicely. Follow the enclosed directions for making the connections and you won't be disappointed

Hubbell 12-50 Plug
If you have an electric car that you're charging in your garage, you just have to go with this heavy-duty industrial plug. Yeah, it's between $75 and $90 on Amazon but the cheaper 14-50 plugs aren't gonna get the job done. My electrician (can you believe it?) installed the cheaper $10-$15 14-50 Leviton outlet and in less than a month, the outlet started to melt, due to the high current needed for car charging. It also damaged the charging plug going to the outlet. You can go with a little cheaper outlet than this Hubbell but for Gods sake, use an industrial strength outlet. I usually don't waste my time on reviews, but in the interest of public safety, don't install a cheaper outlet and risk a fire or damage to your charger cord.

Very Expensive , but worth it!
Easy installation for 6 gauge wire heavy duty extension cords. Big box stores sell similar products meant for 8 gauge wires. (so almost impossible to install and not rated for heavy amp usage.
