I bought the pencil primarily for preliminary drafts of poems as I am composing them. I've now been using it for my calendar, for sketching plans for a porch railing, marking lumber, and writing post-it notes.I love the heft and balance of the tool and the hexagon grip is just right and reminiscent of the yellow school pencils I grew up with. Also, the substantial eraser is an unexpected advantage and the bright yellow color makes it easy to find.I love the larger lead for all the things I use it for, however, it's a softer graphite and will smudge if you brush your hand over your writing. The extra leads and erasers that came with it in the kit are a plus. No worries about how or where to get those at least for now.Finally, this great quality for the price!

Ridiculous value, three nicely turned pencils, leads, erasers, case, all really nicely made. Weight and feel are perfect so they are now the number one pencils in my shop.

Very nice pencil for daily use. Good weight and comfortable. Only issue I have is the feed mechanism. Not always reliable and I find at least once a week having to unscrew the tip and resetting it. Overall, quality pencil and would recommend.

Just got it, but so far, it exceeds my expectations! Sad, b/c recently I’ve been disappointed with many things ordered online. This pencil seems well made. Sturdy. Well priced. Comes with an assortment of leads and erasers. All in a neat case. Very impressed, again, so far.

Been pretty happy with this brand after getting burned by the poor performance and unreliability of another brand. Has held up even after getting dropped a couple times (that would have fubared the aforementioned other brand). Would definitely continue buying this brand.

I recently purchased the Nicpro 3 PCS 1.3 mm Mechanical Pencils Set, and overall I think it's a good set of pencils. It did take me a little bit of time to get used to them, but once I did, I found them to be very comfortable to write with.The weight distribution of the pencils is great, and the grip is very comfortable.The 1.3mm lead size is perfect for my needs. It's tougher than a 0.9mm lead and can handle writing on course surfaces and unlike a 2mm pencil it doesn’t need to be sharpened I also find that the thickness of the lead allows for a more bold and clear line without being too thick.One downside is that the weight of the pencil may take some getting used to. I like to keep my pencil in my hat, but these pencils are a bit heavier and tend to fall out.Despite the barrel being a plastic resin it seems very durable and I believe that they will last a long time if not abused.Overall, for the price, I am satisfied with this set of pencils and I may even purchase another set to have in more locations. If you are in need of a good set of mechanical pencils with a thicker lead, I would definitely recommend giving these a try.
