Wonderful book featuring antique quilts from the Smithsonian textile collection with patterns for creating your own versions. Well-written, interesting quilt history. Mimi Dietrich is an excellent teacher and her patterns are clear and easy to follow. Companion book to "Quilts from the Smithsonian".

I love this book. So glad I have it if only for the reproduction of the Copp Quilt, one I have always admired.

I'm giving this only 3 stars because about half the book is templates. Otherwise, this is a good book. I was happy to see the Copp family quilt here. Quilts from before 1825 are rare, and a pleasure.
