GREEN PAPERCLIPS ... EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED🌲❤️🌲❤️🌲❤️
Brilliant for making hooks for christmas baubles. Better than most other hooks, ribbons, string, cords and elastic. You can take the bauble to exactly where you want it on a branch; either the end of the branch or a little further back if the decoration is on the heavy side or to protect it if it has sentimental value. There’s no need to thread it on over the needles. The paperclip hangers are just the right length to allow the decoration to hang freely in the spaces between branches. With the strings/ribbons generally supplied on baubles I found that although the loops needed to large in order to pass over the knobbly ends of Nordman fir branches and over the needles to get to a position further back on the branch, the length of the loop was then a disadvantage as the bauble hung too low, resting on branches below ... and while I could have tied a knot above, to take up the slack, it looked untidy and was an extra job that I could have done without. The large ends of the improvised hangers can be moulded around a larger branch for added security, but is already the right size to fit straight onto a thinner branch, be it a real or artificial one. To make a hanger, pull the inner part of the clip away in an upward direction to create an `S’ shape (see photo). Place the decoration onto the smaller of the two hooks and bend the end of the wire a little further around to make a closed loop. Hangers can stay in place after they’ve been taken down, ready to go the following year. When packing with hooks in place ensure that the wire within the plastic coating doesn’t scratch the bauble or any stored next to it. I’ve used some of these for a few years now and they’ve stored well without showing any sign of scratching. With this batch I should have enough to do all the baubles that I own ... and that’s quite a lot!
