ROG Ally + XG Mobile = Perfect Gaming
If buying used make sure you take into account the serial number will already have been used for the warranty most likely.Otherwise I got one and it's an amazing product I use for my ROG Ally z1 Extreme.I upgraded to this and now use it like a desktop with a 34 inch curved monitor and it's the best gaming I've done in ages! It runs literally anything amd everything with zero issues.

Game changer that CHANGES THE GAME!
I don’t write a ton of reviews but I had to share this with my fellow gamers! Diehard PlayStation/COD-BO6 fan. Looking for a mobile solution to play on the road I got a ROG Flow Z13 (2021) only to find out it could not quite hang with the graphics.Found this USED XG Mobile for $500 off and took what I knew was a big risk, but hoped I could return to Amazon if defective. It arrived and BOOM. Perfection. The screen on my Z13 is gorgeous after a few clicks. Plug/update/play and be amazed. There is actual blur of scenery in the distance as you start to stare down your scope for a shot. Playing Black Ops now is like watching a movie at the theater. And my game has improved!Put it up on the Samsung 55” and I am telling you it beats out my PS5! Picture is gorgeous, no lag/snap movements and with the clarity so many long shots!!! I am seriously considering moving completely to gaming off the Z13 with this 4090 (laptop) cranking!Amazing I feel like I’ve won the lottery here. Now back to gaming ;-)! Oh yea Forza Horizons wow - I’ll let you be surprised by that one yourself, it is a treat!

Nothing but issues
Had it for about two weeks. Was super excited and worked decent for a day or two without issues. Benchmarks were great and all happy. Spent my last week and a half trying to get the damn thing to work now. Keeps making my x13 go to Blue Screen of death. With constant reboot s. Now, display port isn’t working . But it worked great for a week. Every time I try to update nvidia driver it goes to BSOD. Other issue is you are supposed to got to your windows tray and clock the xg mobile icon to disconnect. Damn icon doesn’t work. I really love my flow x13 but want more power at home. But this not working may be the deal breakers.

Must have for asus rog ally owners.
I know nothing about the flow products that use this as well, but its so much fun on the rog ally. The perfect handheld hybrid pc now. Comes equipped with raw power. Most external gpu only take advantage of about 70% of the gpu but with asus you get about 90% with little to no bottleneck. So easy to set up, make sure the ally is up to date then plug the xg up and you have an update that will make you restart and away you go. Anything of this nature is no expensive so you are not saving much money depending on your needs. Becuase to take full advantage you will need a monitor or tv that takes advantage of all that power. The gpu can get load but it stays relatively cool. It's alot cooler than my asus zephyrus g14 ryzen 9 3060 I will tell you that. The Cord is short and you have to bend it a little, I set the gpu up a little higher so I don't have to bend it at the connector end of either poi t of the cable to pro long it. The cable is thick so I trust it. Gives me just enough ports to plug everything in as I like wires and prefer to have as little lag as possible. With the current discount it's so worth it. No longer in production so if you had it on your mind I say do it but I'm an enabler 😁. The stand on the gpu is surprisingly sturdy and can hold up with all my cable tugging on it every way. Still playing with it but first couple hrs of gaming are amazing.

Massive graphics boost when/if it worked
So this was a tough one. I got this to use with the ROG ally Z1e and wanted to love it. When it worked it was great frame rates were massively increased and I was able to play games at high settings. The issues though were a headache. From it randomly disconnecting, to it completely shutting down the ally and having to reboot and reset several times. The proprietary connector was a hassle from the locking switch not registering half the time. It was just too finicky to justify the price. If it worked flawlessly I could have lived with the price but it just didn’t and I ended up returning it.

Graphic fidelity
I own an Z1 Extreme Rog Ally. And currently I have it as a 1440p setup and let me tell you it's almost as if you had a desktop pc. Obviously this is not as powerful as an actual 4090 but it serves it's purpose of delivering beautiful graphics and high framerates. I would suggest to buy some sort of external fan to contribute into the cooling of this external gpu as it can get hot really quick and also use G-Helper as opossed to Armoury Crate for fan and power profiles.

16gb vram not 24gb vram
Not disappointed with what I got so far, They need to change the listing from "24gb vram" to 16gbvram. Also highly suggest with going with used very good, being frugle with item like this is the best way to go, I would rather pay 1700 dollars (plus tax) and run the possibilities of defects and deal with Amazon's return policy to get another one, than paying 2k for this. Functionality is already tremendous. If you're looking for something silent wouldn't advise this however its the only thing on the market I've found thats useful, the XGM is silent itself but your computer will sound decently loud.
