This thing works just like it supposed to. The magnet is very strong. It doesn’t push off when I push against it gently and the little clip really helps keep the fabric aligned when you’re going through. I don’t even have to use pins. I can just line it up and then I adjust the fabric every a few inches or so as needed. I really love it. I don’t know how durable it is but it seems very solid to me. I don’t sew often enough to push it to its limits.

It came with no instructions on how to use it. It may seem self explanatory to some sewers, but I need some basic instructions. Seems to be well made with a powerful magnet.

This device can help simplify uniform stitching at times. However, even the powerful magnet does not hold its position consistently, especially when using heavy fabrics. I found that improving the lighting near the sewing machine foot helped more than this device. However, the powerful magnet is very helpful for retrieving pins that have fallen on the floor!

I have been using this for over a month now, and is really easy to use, attach easily to my sewing machine with its magnetic support. First I used with an “old” sewing machine and worked perfect! I got this new brother XM2701 and it fits/works perfectly as well. I’m a beginner on sewing and I’m very pleased with my results using this seam guide! A must to have! Its quality is awesome and price incomparable!
