I have always wanted to have one of these! It wasn't 100% what I was first expecting, but I had erroneously thought that every device would do a ton more than it would at this level. The thoughts that I had of being able to program my own laser design is something in the thousand dollars and above, not the one hundred and below range. When first plugging in this disco light(s), I couldn't help but sit there and push the buttons on the remote back and forth just to see what all the thing could do. I was having a blast checking out all of the features. This disco light can be nice and calm with just a few lights, to a small child on too much sugar setting where there are tons of lights and they are bouncing and moving all over the place. As for the dancing to music feature, I really wonder if any of them truly match the music. Yes, this setting made the lights move with the beats. Did it really match the music as in doing the right thing, like I said, I'm not sure any of them really do. I was shocked that even after hours of use, this disco light didn't seem to heat up any little bit, which is awesome! I have put this under my bed, on the wall, on the ceiling, it has been fun to see just how versatile this little device really can be. Now all I need is a bunch of mirrored disco balls on the ceiling!* This was a Vine product and was shipped to me for free to try and to then give my honest review.

This isn't cool enough to cost 60 bucks. It's got some laser action, and a strobe light, and some LED's that spin around with a diffuser dome, but it's not very powerful. The lights could and should be a lot brighter, the remote responsiveness leaves plenty of room for improvement, and the music sync mode isn't anything special either. I will say that the versions of these lights that are actually impressive can be really expensive, and it's not like 60 dollars is anywhere near how much it costs to get a really good one. The problem is that I just don't really see a big difference between this one, and some of the other similar lights that only cost about half as much. I think there should be a large increase in quality if you're going to cost twice as much as a competing product, and I just don't see it.

Yes for $40, but not at this price of $60. First it's small, and will do fine for a small party, but especially the strobe light will seem weak unless you're right next to it. It has lots of variety in laser shapes and changes often if you choose any of the auto buttons. The motor works fine to move the light figures around. The problem is with the sound buttons. Supposedly they'll make the lights move to the music, but I got nothing from buttons 2 and 3 other than the usual movements. For Sound button 1 it initially turns off the lights, and they only come back on when I play music cranked up right next to the microphone, and I'm talking within inches of it. Then the lights come on/off based on the beat or loudness of the music, but it wasn't great. So with that glitch, and possibly an issue with only my unit, I can't recommend this party light at this price. I don't see other reviewers commenting about the response to sound with their lights so hope that other reviewers do a better job of covering that feature.
