A disappointly foggy trek through the Mountains of Madness
Having had a minor operation which rendered me housebound, I wanted a game with object searches to fill my time up. I already have Jewel Quest Mysteries: Curse of the Emerald Tear]and][[ASIN:B002JM22LW Amazing Adventures: The Forgotten Ruins (Nintendo DS) ,both of which I have played and enjoyed several times. Unfortunately I found Mountains of Madness a great disappointment. The game plan is to find listed objects and deduce what to do with them in order to release jewels. You occasionally find scraps of paper which generate jigsaws. When solved, these produce tools to help you in the jewel match section of the game. There is also obviously a story line linking the chapters of the puzzle.Object search. The graphics are the worst I have seen in any game. The colours are poor and images are difficult to distinguish, and yes I did check to make sure that it wasn't my aging Nintendo that was at fault! Once you have found an item it doesn't disappear so you can't thin the images out.Releasing the jewels. You are given several of the objects you have found to help you release the jewels. The screen image is much clearer in this section, but you don't have to think very hard as little twinkly stars show where the jewels are located. It is fairly obvious what objects are required for each jewel. However my frustration level increased because on occasions it was very difficult to precisely place the required object so that it released the jewel. In effect I waggled it over the spot vigorously until it eventually caught!Jewel match. I have got games with much better jewel match puzzles such as Jewel Legends Tree Of Life (Nintendo DS) . Occasionally I ran out of time and had to restart the jewel match but the top levels weren't particularly challenging, and it was rare that I had to resort to any of the tools.Story line- well I'm never really interested in this but if you are, then this one was very brief and thin.So overall, would I recommend this game? Sadly, no. If you've just got a Nintendo, as I've stated previously there are other games which make object searches a pleasurable challenge, or if you prefer jewel quests, others test your wits better.

Best of both worlds
I bought this because I like hidden object games and have now done most of the available titles and couldn't afford a Professor Leyton - am gradually getting them when I am feeling a bit flush lol. Had never played a match 3 game on the DS before but now I am totally hooked. To begin with I had my doubts - got stuck on a match 3 level and you cannot progress until it is completed. But I stuck at it and found it so addictive I found I couldn't wait to get through the hidden object rounds to get to the match 3 rounds. To say that this is the best of both worlds is not an exaggeration and it has opened my eyes to a whole new series of games I can play. The graphics are good, there are jigsaw and other games 2 and the storyline is reasonable for this type of thing. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone and it is really good value for money too.

Very interesting game of intrigue in the series of colored bricks
The title of the series of brick colors and combinations of development, had little doubt buy it, but this title chances with me and when I received it and I started playing really do not regret having purchased it is additive, Playable have that adventure and intrigue about where to go getting things, right now I'm playing the first screens not know what I'm going to find that pint that I will give you many hours of fun and the difficulty is not very normal but as you climb the more levels of the things it gets a little more difficult, but is very well playable.

Enjoyable
The graphics on this game were really good, but it was very easy and took me less than a day to complete. I did enjoy the three different games per level just wish could have been a bit harder. All in all a good game

Good game
Received the item promptly. It is a good game - couldn't put it down. Finding the hidden items, retrieving the crystals and making up the jigsaws was easy but the jewel games can be quite tough.

repetitive
I thought this would be very good but got fed up as it was the same thing over and over again, didn't take long to finish it. I bought it as I like the jewel games but I wouldn't recommend buying it new okay if you get it cheap or second hand

Not Too Much Of A Challange
This game was ok, the different mini-games made it a bit more interesting, but it wasn't a game to challenge the brain - and it was soon completed
