Dreadful, Boring, Frigid, Meaningless Tripe
An incredibly lack-lustre, boring movie, which from the outset did not capture 0.1% of my interest. The whole production effort is typical of sub-standard, low-budget artsy movies. Central to its complete failure is that there is zero chemistry shared between the key players. And I mean zero, nade, zilch, nout!Helena Bonham Carter and Aaron Eckhart may well be regarded as ‘A’ list actors, but they sure were a complete mismatch in this shite movie – moreover since the central story of this movie IS a ‘passionate’ sexual affair! The dated and dreadful split screen effect added in during the pathetic sex scene only enhances the sub-standard quality of what a dreadful movie this really is. Add in the complete absence of chemistry between Carter and Eckhart, and what you have is Total Fail. Far from being involving, the scene only generated an intense desire for me to gouge out my eyes!Fortunately with Amazon there is a fast-forward feature, which afforded me much relief by zipping through the last 30 minutes of the movie, only to view an end so ridiculous, and so utterly irrational, it left me wondering why this movie was ever conceived, never mind produced?!The description of the movie reads: “...two guests become increasingly entangled in a sexually-charged battle of wits, as dangerous sparks fly between these two strangers… the couples repartee deepens to reveal the passion of a lost love affair”If ever there was a case of false advertising, then this statement surely takes the prize for this biggest load of BS of all time. Absolute garbage – Don’t waste your time!

A* for effort
yes, I thought it pretty cool, and I also thought wow he's getting somewhere with persistence even if not with his cringing chat up lines, so there's hope for me yet. She was hard work though, and I think I would have gone for the girl in the lift.*** about to ruin the whole plot if you haven't seen it !! ... ***Their whole previous history thing together was consequently an incredible let down, so he wasn't being heroically persistent after all, if anything he was being a bit of a creep, and I kept thinking why don't you leave her alone and cringingly creep along with somebody else?!! I'm sure the writer guy, who I've forgotten, maybe it was Hans Canosa, could have come up with a more satisfying conclusion to all this arty cleverness than with nothing more than an old buddies reunion? Heck, I could do better than that!!Yes, definitely cool, but not one I think I'll be watching again any time soon

Really good movie
A beautiful movie. Good performances, nicely directed. A history about human connections, what-ifs and the loose ends we leave throughout life.

Great acting from HBC
Good movie, interesting format, some may argue with the the storyline but the acting was great, especially from Bonham Carter. the the primevideo summary didn't really fit, because one's interpretation of this movie could be very different depending on who you are. For me it was about how life could have turned out in many ways and how an intense affair at an early age might colour one's entire succeeding life. There are many relationships and all types can be important.

gentle study on life catching up with you
Essentially a dialogue, two people meet at a wedding and they've got history, possibly unfinished business, seemingly unhappy lives. The film unpacks that history and creates consequences for both of them.Long shots so the actors have to act. Always good. The split screen creates extra viewing perspectives that works quite well. It's a nice study, easily watchable again. I have no idea how the film got its title as it really doesn't give any guide as to what you are going to see.

Avoid this film unless you hate yourself, or feel like knowing how it feels to be cross eyed.
The double picture sequence, which you hope is just at beginning experience, goes on and on, till the end I presume, I could not beat myself to see the very end, and frankly I did not care to know what ever would happen to the actors. It was disturbing to see two pictures or two views of the same scene, at the same time, and it was impossible to decide which side of the screen to choose.Following two movies at the same time, no matter how much you do like the actors and how well they usually perform, this is simply a bad idear, because you are kept at a distance trying to do so.The picture is pretentious and does nevere come across. Even the dialog is boring and semisentimental or just not interesring at all.It is one of the worst films I have seen in years.

Four Stars
A neglected film which is brilliantly acted and uses an interesting twin screen format. Superb value and quite compelling.
