Good book but ordered like new. Pages old, yellowed and odor of storage in an attic.

I think a better title would be Pastor Wesley's Reflections and Counsel. The best book on prayer is still the Psalms along with the examples of our Lord Jesus and His apostles. This is a compilation and is divided into sections with a great saying about prayer heading each section. The body of the book, however, seems to be Wesley's own struggles ( reflections) and warnings ( counsel)to see if you are really in the faith. Maybe these are one and the same. When he died, Wesley 1st said "God be merciful a sinner" and then said, "Best of all, God is with us." - this in my view reflects this struggle.

This is practical advice--much to the point -- for Christians who want a deeper, more authentic, heart-felt relationship with God. Even though John Wesley wrote two centuries ago, the advice is still good.We used it for a 6-week study class in the Bluemont United Methodist Church. It is the size of a "tract" -- a little pamphlet of selections. I call it the "world's smallest textbook."

Learn ever thing you can from George Whitefield and John Wesley, both were close to God and had prayers answered in a powerful way.

Very timely and just as advertised. Will not hesitate to shop again.
