These are great looking shoes but the durability of this material isn't great impossible to keep clean. Other materials you can clean with H2O2 but this fabric get smudged or dust in the air and they started to discolor right away. For the money they were a little expensive even on sale. They are comfortable but I do wear a good sport insol and as far as fit they are pretty true. I would like to say that Mizuno is one of my favorite shoes and will still be I have about 4 others.

I have been wearing Mizuno for over a decade. I currently run in Wave Inspire 17 and Wave Rider 24. I prefer a neutral shoe so the Neo Wind seemed like a good fit for me. The "green" construction of this shoe seems like a gimmick to me and I am not impressed with the results. When I first put them on they felt very uncomfortable. I put on a thicker pair of socks which helped a little. The shoe feels stiff and starched. The only support or padding in the shoe is behind the heal. There is no stretch or flexibility to the upper shoe and it is designed to fit like a sock (no tongue). When it is laced, it puckers because there is no elasticity to improve fit around my foot. My other 2 pair of Mizuno have a mesh upper and that is likely what I expected of these. Their inaugural use was an 8-mile run. As expected, the soles felt great but even after breaking them in, the upper still feels stiff and does not flex to fit well over the top of my foot. There does seem to be some energy/spring effect from the foam soles. I may try wearing these in some races after I break them in.Although my first impression was a 1-star experience, even after breaking them in a little, it has only improved to 2 stars. I'm very loyal to Mizuno but I did not think much of these. I recommend you try the Wave Rider for a neutral shoe
