Good stuff maynard
This review is more so for the seller. I mean an official MRE is an official MRE. You know the taste, you know the menus. I know I like havin a hot meal when im welding in the cold. And you can get em anywhere if you know where to look. But to get em off amazon. In pristine condition, with newer than listed inspection dates at a reasonable mark up to what I'm used to. While not having to run around town. Excellent.

Excellent quality, enough to make me a repeat customer.
Call me a lazy meal prepper, but I am a regular consumer of MREs in my line of work due to their convenience, calorie density, general macronutrient balance, and relative inexpensiveness given the options available to me. On most work days, I can easily hit my macro goals with Huel and an MRE without having to put much thought into it, and it works out to like $10 a day. For me that’s easy and cheap. I like easy and cheap.I bought (and received) two cases of MREs from Ozark Outdoorz—the bundle of menus A and B. I’m a Marine Corps veteran and well versed on the ‘ins and outs’ of MREs, the various companies that make and pack them, and what to look for in terms of freshness, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of items I received. The cases arrived in perfect condition, each with the original manufacturer’s (Sopakco) black strapping tight against the outside, and then both were bound together with white strapping. The boxes were entirely undamaged, and have original dot matrix printing indicating they were packed in December 2017. The Time and Temperature Indicators (TTI, the orange stickers to check freshness) appear to be original as well, and show that the cases have been properly stored to maintain freshness.I cracked open Case A and the meals inside all have date codes indicating they were manufactured in the last week of November and the first week of December 2017, consistent with the dates on the boxes.I’ve eaten two from this shipment so far, and found the quality to be just as I would expect from an MRE manufactured yesterday. If there’s anyone else who is on the fence (like I was) wondering about the quality to expect from this seller, hopefully this answers a few of those questions. I will definitely be making another purchase in a month or so.

The MRE Time and Temperature Indicators on the sealed boxes were intact and were of good standing. (appear to be close to 'initial' state)
Purchase these MRE's and they came shipped. The MRE Time and Temperature Indicators on the sealed boxes were intact and were of good standing. (appear to be close to 'initial' state). A huge help in figuring out if MRE's were stored in reasonable conditions as temperature can cut into the shelf life of these rations. All the individual rations appeared to be in good condition, no punctures, or signs of tampering, and the boxes they ship in, appear to be unopened, and do not appear to be resealed in any way. The inspection date purchased was 2020, which is exactly what I had bought. (so these were US rations manufactured in 2017). For those who havent done the homework on these yet, the rations are typically good for about 2-3 years after the inspection date, as these are the typical life cycles for when the military begin to distribute their MRE's to third party distribution channels. If you plan on storing these longer term, you can extend the shelf life by keeping these MRE's in lower temperature environments or in a freezer, which should extend shelf life by at least another 5-7 years.I personally plan on using these as emergency earthquake rations, and they may actually turn out well as a form of bartering currency in case of extended chaotic/extreme events. This purchase was painless and straight forward. Would buy again.

brought back memories
They arrived in perfect condition. They came with original seals unbroken and cases were not pre-searched.I was eating one at my desk when it seemed like something was missing, so I went outside and sat on the ground leaning up against a trash can. I didn't use the heater just opened one up, and added some sand, it was like being in an active LZ. I was back enjoying my meal as I remembered them. Thanks, I'll be buying these again soon. Next week I give the class on the proper use of the tissue that comes with each meal.I couldn't find the heat tab or the John Wayne but I was overall extremely pleased with the product and the shipping.Semper Fi - Golf 2/6 mainside Lejeune

excellent shipping time
Received intact and before estimated date of delivery. Checking the date it appears these units (one each of A and B boxes) were made in March of 2023, which is obviously better than the 2020 date listed. Very satisfied. Would purchase again. Oh, I have not opened to eat yet but I know what MREs taste like but these are for the zombie apocalypse. Each complete 1200 cal meal comes out to $9.16 each, which I consider a deal when something like Mountain House is a single entree with half the calories for about $8.50 each.
