A nice upgrade from my Garmin Edge 520
I’ve had my 520 for a while now, it still works fine, but the battery doesn’t have the ooomph it once had (a bit like me). I’d have stuck with I think but I had a birthday coming up and my wife suggested a new bike computer. I did a bit of research and the 540 more than met my needs. I’ve only used it a few times and many of its super duper features have remained untroubled by me. It is noticeably wizzier than the 520. The screen is bigger which is helpful, it linked with my heart straps, phone and Connect App without effort. These are just my first impressions, so far very pleased.

All the stats I need
Really good unit. I haven't really sussed out the navigation properly yet, but I do like the fact that you can tell it how many miles you want to do and it'll make you a random route. Lots of stats, speed, distance, average, elevation etc. great looking unit. Battery literally lasts for AGES. Could not recommend this enough.
