Easy to Install
Worth the money in layout simplicity and installation. Pleasantly surprised on how well the tube's and connectors mated. I haven't detected any air leakage. Very durable.

Read all reviews and sketch out EXACTLY how you will build it before purchasing it!
I needed to build a dedicated dust extraction system for my small wood/metal shop (10' x 12'). Rather than use Schedule 40 PVC, this looked like a better option. I read several of the reviews regarding the tubes shattering when sawed. I called Powertec's product support to ask their opinion regarding how to cut the tubes. They said the best way is really with a sharp hand-saw that a carpenter would use - OR use a Dremel tool with a Diamond circular saw attachment. You can also use an oscillating tool with a fine tooth blade. I used the last two options and they worked fine (slow and easy). The trick will be sketching out how you will mount the system and how long each run will be between the "Y" joints with the blast gates for each of your tools. Measuring is CRITICAL. Each one of the tubes/pipes are 36 inches. Each "Y" connector is 10 inches - BUT - the pipes fit into each "Y" connector about 2 inches on each side. the result is not joining a 36" pipe and a 10" "Y" connector resulting in 46" of measurement - the total linear length is 42" - that 4 inches of "overlap" doesn't sound like much, but when you are measuring a 90 degree angle where the walls meet - it means a lot!!! Cutting pipes is almost unavoidable. As you start sketching your system out, you'll see that you'll need to order a lot more splices, 45 degree connectors, 90 degree connectors, MANY feet of 4 inch hose to connect your tools, and many hose clamps. The pipes, "Y" connectors, blast gates and splices are all supposed to connect tightly together. I didn't find that true. I had to order and wait for sufficient 4 inch hose clamps to arrive to ensure that the fitting would not come disconnected each time I reached up to open or close the blast gates!! Once I got the entire system measured, cut, installed and firmly held together with hose clamps, the system worked very well. But be aware - the $170 is for the STARTER KIT!! I spent more than that on the additional splices, 45 degree connectors, 90 degree connectors, "Y" connectors, blast gates, end caps, hose clamps, and MANY feet of 4 inch hose to connect your tools. Also, if your tools do not all have 4 inch dust collection ports, you'll also need to find reduction couplers, adapters , and smaller hose to be able to connect them to your new 4" dust collection system. It was a pain, but I'm sure building a system from scratch using Schedule 40 PVC or irrigation PVC tubing would have been an even greater nightmare. Accurate measuring, sketching, and cutting will be the key factors to your success. When everything is said and done - I'm satisfied. I'm no longer covered in fine saw dust and metal filings. My shop stays "relatively clean". Good luck!!

Ok system but you'll need more.
It's ok but is probably not nearly enough for what you need to actually put in your system. I knew that going in and you should too. The wall anchors are trash. I had a feeling that they wouldn't hold and after putting up my first Y, they ripped right out of the wall. So plan to screw into studs or use something way better. Brackets are also the incorrect size and need some kind of shim. You can make this work but be aware of the limitations.

Good Quality Pipe and Fittings.
This is an awesome quality made setup. I combined it with 2.5” reducers and hose for my tools and works great with HF dust collector. The black plastic hangers for the pipe are sketchy to install as they are way too big. I had to put around pipe and then zip tie to winch it and then screw them into wall.

Satisfied.
Nothing over the top but decent quality. Too expensive.

Brackets don’t fit!!!
Powertec - what the heck!! You can’t design simple brackets that fit your own hardware?? All brackets are loose and sloppy. I had to refabricate them on my CNC. Other than that good kit - not sure if cheaper than individual parts.
