Great cord. The material lasts a long time. I've worn it for about a year now and I live a very active life. The black material has not faded or fallen apart.The only issue I've had is with the clasp breaking. I have a very personal and important necklace hanging from it, and one day while walking the clasp broke and everything fell off. I didn't feel it, and the only way I realized it had broken was seeing the necklace and cord on the floor at work as I walked by. I could have lost it forever if it had happened at a different place!I ended up krazy glueing the two parts of the claps permanently together (so I can't unhook it. I have to pull it over my head) and permanently have gaffers tape around the clasp just to be safe.It works for me, but because of the clasp I wouldn't put anything super important on this if you want to wear it for years.

I have been trying to buy a leather necklace on Amazon and every one that I get is some type of plastic. This was not as bad as some of the others I have sent back but it has a hard plastic like coating on the leather? I am not sure what the material is but it doesn't smell like leather. I like the findings on this necklace though. The gunmetal clasp is very nice.I have stopped buying these on Amazon and gone to Hobby Lobby. I spent $10 for 25 feet of quality, real leather strand, $10 for gunmetal lobster clasps (20 clasps) and split rings (dozens), $5 for 20 crimped ends, and another $5 for a pair of small crimping pliers. For around $20 (my wife had a coupon) I can make 20, 24" freal leather necklaces for $1.00 each, that are real high quality leather with sturdy gunmetal lobster clasps and a whole lot of leftover leather for more projects.

It takes quite a bit for me to break down and write a review. I am usually the reader rather than the writer, but I was really impressed by Dragon Weave's attention to detail in their packaging. I bought a simple black leather cord...no biggee, right? - But my simple black leather cord (at a great price, I might add) was placed in a small zip-loc plastic bag, wrapped in tissue paper, atop a square of cotton-like batting, in a glossy black cardboard box that was placed inside a larger zip-loc bag. With the cord was a slip of paper with specific contact and return information should I have an problems or need to exchange the item.The cord itself was exactly what I was looking for and well made. Kudos, Dragon Weave! You got my attention.

I like this necklace and it serves it's purpose well. That being said, it's bulk 3mm leather necklace material with a fairly cheap and small crimp on clasp. It does look good and it was hard to find a length above 32". It may be a bit over priced for the quality but I'm still satisfied with the purchase.

I bought this because the chain that came with my charm was cheap and discoloring my neck. I was looking for something that looked good on men. I came across this necklace and it works great. Its nice and thick.

I wish the loop side was slightly smaller to allow for use with jewelry that has a small bale. This will not work with smaller bale pendants because the loop side is too round to fit. That said, this is beautiful quality and worth every penny. I just wish they made a version for "small bale" jewelry.

I bought this for my husband so her could wear his wedding ring around his neck. We were a little hesitant on buying any type of necklace because we didn't want it to break and lose the ring but this has really put up with so many elements! He never takes it off, wears it in the shower, sweats on it, our one year old son pulls on it, and it's still holding up great! He's had it for almost a year. When it finally does give out I will be ordering another from here!

I love this cool little necklace. In high school I always made little leather necklaces for myself and feeling adventurous I ordered this one. It's high quality. It doesn't shift around where the back is in front all the time (I hate that with necklaces) and as a semi-choker look it really works. Now I'm sure to get the street cred my backwater country home deserves to give me :-) A good buy, and would make a great gift. Watch out for sizing if you're not sure - measure. :D
