It has potential, but it's not what I expected. The vertical adjustment knob is not for variable spring tension like on nicer articulated LCD arms; instead, the knob just jams the attached screw into the internal mechanism, preventing the surface from drooping under its own weight beyond that point, by limiting the vertical range of motion. To "store" the stand in a collapsed position the knob must be unscrewed all over again. I don't want to have to fumble around by spinning a knob by hand a bunch of times, every time I go to change the height. It would've been nicer to have a tension compensation screw for various laptop weights, the way most LCD arms are setup, so no further adjustment would be necessary while changing position. If one tries to use this stand without setting the height adjustment knob each time, it tends to fall abruptly if the desk vibrates or shakes even slightly. In the "down" position (even with the knob set) there is enough side-to-side wobble to noticeably affect your typing. It looks nice, but the knob is inconvenient enough to be a deal breaker for daily use. Looks like I'm back to stacking books and a three-ring binder.

It will adjust easily enough but there are three problems. 1) When adjusted up so that I can stand, the thumb screw that holds it in place needs to be turned in considerably making the process time consuming and requiring the MacBook to be removed in order to reach the thumb screw. The computer removal sort of defeats the purpose, 2) There is considerable wobble when you attempt typing, 3) When collapsed for the the sitting position, as you place your hands on the computer to type the weight of your hands tilts the computer up and forward. The only positive thing I can say is that it doesn't use much real estate on your table which is the reason I considered it compared to other adjustable platforms.

Love this product. Great for elevating the screen to eye level, improving posture, relieving neck and shoulder strain. Would NOT recommend that you type on it. A better solution is to elevate the laptop and use a wireless keyboard.

I have a small desk with a big drawing tablet, so thins keeps me organized and allow me to use my tablet as the main monitor
