It works as advertised, real stone is way better than any substitute. Wish it was bigger but that’s on me for not reading the . Makes a very good peanut butter.

Gets the job done
I used it to make guacamole. I like that it is wide enough and one avocado can easily be smooshed in it. I use it all the time to grind my spices. It is quite heavy and I can feel the roughness of the granite, it is Not polished. I like that it comes with the rubber mat; it absorbs the shock during grinding. Great for all kinds of cooking
Great for all cooking. Its large for Indian cooking too. Its heavy stone. Very sturdy & easy to clean. I only gave it 4 stars coz the first one came broken.

Made for the Perfect Guacamole
I've wanted a molcajete for years and years. Most of the ones available to me were too tiny to get anything done. This is a heavy-duty workhorse. I was a bit concerned by the sharp edges on the feet but they provide a rubberized mat to set it on that keeps it from slipping and keeps it from scratching the surface of whatever it's on. It works well and I made my first authentic guacamole with fantastic results. Great price point too. Highly recommend.
